  1. Agreed. I overreacted to the melo stuff earlier today and I still think melo could make the heat champions for years to come but the spurs give me a lot of hope cause full teams win championships not just stars. Miami has terrible role players cause their big 3 is eatting up all the cap.
  2. So do everybody still feel we need a superstar to win? Cause I rather have 3 or 4 all star caliber players with a deep ass bench.
  3. His name.....is Spencer Hawes. (Now who saw that one coming?)
  4. I would be so happy words can't express if they were to form a championship team and lose in the finals but I can't see that as you were on point that melo was a great role player. I honestly can't see how they would lose until the four of them just are old. As old men then they would probably lose (I doubt they would be like Duncan at 38)
  5. Hell man 13 mil each to form a dream team nba squad ain't bad. I just hate it because the nba isn't ready for this type of team...the competition is already low enough. But yeah I don't see why people don't believe this will happen. As much as I hate to say it, it's so possible I feel it's written in stone. Think about it..... Melo prolongs wade and bosh careers. Wade and bosh if he need it can get plenty of rest over the regular season and come back healthy for the playoffs atleast for 3 more years with melo on the team. Lebron/Melo/scrubs can probably win at the minimum 50 games a year while wade and bosh play 50-56 games. Let's face it, this isn't a Gary Payton, Karl Malone, Kobe, Shaq team up....this is 2 guys in their prime, bosh who still have plenty in tank to give and Wade who can get much much rest and be a beast in the playoffs like he was this playoffs. The wade is on his last legs is stupid to me, if the guy can get rest like he did this year, he's very effective in the playoffs and again with melo the heat can sit wade down as long as they need to until the playoffs the dudes knees are going to be fresh. I could be overreacting and it may not happen but I have the same feeling I had last time around when the heat big 3 formed. I knew it was planned and that Riley was behind it just like I believe this big 4 was planned at all star break to add melo! The NBA is a joke. I'm not sure how much I'm going to care about what the hawks do if I see melo on stage with the heats current big 3. I mean I would like to be competitive as a fan but a move like that really gives no hope for any team. @Dolfan23 to respond to your post I think if melo teams up with Lebron I think he will change his whole attitude coming in and knowing that lebron runs the show. No way he comes in trying to take over or run over a champ roster. I think the chemistry would be "let's take paycuts and whoop everybody ass, leaving our mark on nba history" This is how you buy a nba championship 101.
  6. I'm just pissed about this...I can honestly see all 4 guys taking 10 mil contracts just to form this super team and win the next 5-7 seasons.

    John Jenkins

I'm worried about his back not his skills or ability to play in buds system. I don't think he's injury prone but I do fear his back is going to give him some trouble as he progresses through his career. Back injuries are serious when it comes to the nba.
  8. Lol Lou value is not 0 and with all the complaining jr smith is doing about coming off the bench the Knicks are going to need another guard who can create his own shot. On top of that the Knicks have been dieing to get rid of shumpert, maybe that's not the case now with Phil in charge but iman will still need to fit the triangle offense if he's going to stay a knick. As for chandler all I can say is the sooner they start to rid all this salary the better for their team.
  9. No I haven't seen chandler I'm just going by what I heard and they said he's healthy or getting back to normal and they said the same thing about amare. I actually heard amare himself say he's a 100 percent and hasn't been in a long time. I wouldn't be shocked if Phil tries to dismantle this team. Right now it's a pile of junk he can't do anything with and it depends on if Phil sees shumpert as a fit in the triangle offense as well.
  10. First off any nba team with a draft pick at this point can help the Knicks. I'm just throwing this out there to y'all about what I heard from nba sirus radio today. What I heard on the nba radio today: According to cap experts there's nothing Jackson and fisher can do to revamp this roster right now. They have no picks for the upcoming draft and they have 3 over paid players along with a star player in melo that they would like to retain. It has been suggested by analyst that the best move they can do this off season is trade for a second round pick and hope the second round draftee becomes a diamond in the rough. They aren't likely to trade into the first round due to terrible contracts they have and it's just going to be very hard to get rid of any of their higher overpaid players not including melo because of injury concerns as well. My thoughts on how this could help our hawks and the Knicks: I think ferry can probably trade our 2nd round pick include Lou Williams for shumpert and hawks take on Tyson chandler contract. Doing this.... Knicks: -free up cap space by getting rid of chandler (check) -acquire a draft pick cause they have none right now in this so called talented draft (check) Hawks: -get what we like to often refer to as a "true center" in chandler who they said is healthy right now and 14m contract ends next season I believe (check....there's your rim protector and rebounder) -iman shumpert who's a decent all around talent that bud could probably develop into a better wing than what the Knicks did for him. (Check...there's our wing man who can defend pretty good and has ability to slash and hit the 3 ball just need some work....and we still got the #15 pick) As a nba fan I think Jackson is dieing to get out of this mess the Knicks created before he got there and so he can add a piece over the regular season next to melo to get him to stay. So why wouldn't he give up chandler, amare, or bargani? Yay or Nay squawk?
  11. How is Tony Parker not on your list when you include Kidd, CP3, & Nash? In 50 years nobody will remember kidd,cp3,nash but we will remember who parker is with his 3 rings.
  12. Regardless of what you think of Lance as an NBA fan I think we can all agree with this statement: "If the hawks are really going after Lance, Ferry and Bud must believe they can handle and neutralize Lance's attitude as well as take Lance in and make him a better player regardless of what NBA fans, media, and so called experts think of Lance as a troubled player…..Ferry/Bud won't go after a guy they don't think they can handle, therefore as a hawks fan theres no reason to be alarmed whether we get lance this summer or not, just trust and believe in this hawks staff to make the right decision"
  13. Exactly....the court stuff I'm not worried about, the putting his hands on women stuff is insane. All I can say about lance is that regardless if you like him or not he has good skills and would easily fit into buds system. The dude scores, shoot the 3 ball, defends and pass consistently at the SG position. He's really an all around talent that bud probably could do wonders with but I just don't like the fact that he put his hands on females. Believe me I'm totally against men fighting women physically but as a nba gm would that honestly stop me from signing lance? It's like the ray rice situation. The NFL is a passing league now and there aren't many good running backs. You think the ravens are going to release ray rice just because the altercation he had with his fiancée who's now his wife?....probably not. I know it's sad but it is what it is and as a gm I actually may consider signing lance after getting the whole truth of what happened.
  14. I wouldn't be so against this if the drafts today were like the drafts back in the day like when Robinson and Duncan were drafted but the truth is that drafts today especially recent drafts in the last 7 or 8 years can really just burn you! I mean these guys come out of college injured or they are over hyped or a lot of them do what I call that "tyreke Evans shit" playing awesome their rookie year and failing the rest of their years. I see the potential in the top 3 guys of this draft then there are some I think can be all stars if coached the right way but I still say keep the team we have and just build on to it. The most I would probably do without breaking the team is trading to the kings for the 8th pick....they want Dennis for that pick right?
  15. Honestly I disagree parsons defense is actually pretty good. He's no lockdown defender but at worst he is average on defense. Way better than Korver though. On offense end they are pure threats all game on the court at the same time but I wouldn't start them together I would start DMC.
  16. Lol....we need some more excitement and exclamation around here!...lmao Hopefully he doesn't start posting long ass threads like me! Lol
  17. I agree if the spurs were more athletic man they would probably be unstoppable but even then they are still a great ball club Anyways yeah if we get more athletic and run this system....you are right sir the east better watch out!!!
  18. Seriously I want to see him play more! He looks like can be good....and I'm not just saying that I think he deserves a good amount of minutes as a backup center or pf. Which will probably keep bebe on the bench if brought over

    Al Horford on track

Not true it actually takes a long time to heal a injury like that. In fact he should have probably been fully healed over the summer but he's ahead of schedule and that's the scary part. I fear he hasn't given the injury the right amount of time to fully heal! But I'm not a doctor, just repeating from what I hear personal trainers tell me about this specific injury.
  20. Lol nobody is denying the lack of playmakers! Your argument was "when the system breaks down or when plays break down"....my response to that is if the team is running the system consistently, ain't no such thing as break down. In this spurs like offense there are multiple options always each time down the court. Notice in the first round spurs vs mavs they broke down the games they lost and were not staying with the system...that's rare to see the spurs do that but when it happens they lose games as well. I agree we need a playmaker but this team is still learning the system unlike a spurs team that knows the system.....Like coach pop says if the team plays within the system all game they will always have a chance to win.
  21. Thanks....and yeah we definitely need a playmaker but if we don't pick one up hopefully bud and crew can develop one to where he can become a playmaker for the hawks.
  22. I disagree....the system is proven that it creates scoring opportunities consistently all throughout the game. It's up to the players to play within the system and keep the ball moving. Our biggest problems were not having horford for the year and not having another slasher to go along with Teague. Also you have to understand that Teague has never been pushed to play aggressive like this in an offense that the ball is always in his hands so it's all new to him and it seems like he got extremely comfortable with the system at the end of the year going into the playoffs. You can't write off a team that had major injury problems and still took a number 1 seed to 7 games. I don't care what any one says bad match up or not if you are the number 1 seed you should never let an 8th seed hang around.

    Horford for Love?

Lol I'm good but thanks for sharing.
  24. I don't really care who gets good, that's where I am on all this. I want Dennis to get good if he stays a hawk and I want Teague to be better if he stays a hawk. I'm not going to argue who's better because Dennis hasn't even played yet and bud is still developing him so the argument is pointless just because of that fact: DENNIS HAS NOT PLAYED MUCH....YET....there's nothing to argue about!!!! I'm in full trust mode of ferry and bud! Bud has been running this show (system) for 19 years and I expect him to know which point guard he wants to be his Tony Parker type between Teague and Dennis. I'm waiting to judge bud and ferry decision rather than what I or other posters want at pg and that's what I care about most! At the end of the day they are picking either Dennis or Teague I don't care which....all I care about is judging ferry and bud at the end of the day on the decision they make on who's running pg.
  25. You guys should just stop arguing with nbasupe! He's strong minded to his own opinion! I was shocked that he even gave Teague props in the playoffs when Jeff showed out. I can admit that during the season me and if I'm not mistaking @Dolfan23 were the main ones bashing Teague but the last 10 games of the season and playoffs made me forget who that inconsistent Teague was and now I just think he deserves another chance after being under buds system for one year. Anyways no need to argue with nbasupe or any other poster. The board is half on Dennis & half on Teague. Ferry/bud I'm sure will make the right call on what point they want running this team and that's all you should care about....cause I'm telling you guys this argument isn't going to end and it's pointless because Dennis hasn't even had significant minutes yet therefore until he plays as much as Teague we really don't know what Dennis is! Summer league Dennis don't mean anything to me. I want the guy to be a star but bud is still developing him and it may take 2 more years before he get on court for starter minutes.
