Horford is well respected amongst league, commentators and other teams fans. Not only Hawks fans wanted him to be ROY two seasons ago. Any team would love to have him on his roster. Right now the most underrated player might be new Josh Smith. It'll take time until he'll get recognition for how he's playing, because many think he's just a head case athletic guy that will never live up to his potential.

I say no, but not unconditional no. It doesn't matter which draft pick he was but what he brings to the table with the money he gets. When he was resigned most fans agreed that he deserve that kind of money. But he's current stats are way below his last year production. I say let's wait until either he wakes up or it's obvious that he's going through some long lasting slump and trade is beneficial for team and Marvin himself.

Still he managed to grab a board against him. Another great game from underappreciated HAwk.

When Marvin was on the court Pierce was quite invisible. Plus he made a couple of good aggressive moves, just his shot isn't falling.

It was quite ugly game at times, physical and competitive. Our bench was horrible in first half but they made up for it in the second. Absolutely no ball movement in 4th quarter. But that Smith's crossover on Garnett was gorgeous. I wish he had made that lay up.

Teague traveled, then made unforced switch on D and picked up Daniels who cut to the rim and scored easily with foul. Bench was the answer from Woodson. Plus that airball lay up. Hope he'll get chance against Hornets.

TBH it would be better for our starters to get some rest rather than participate in All-Star Weekend.

Another problem is Crawford. He's awful on D. The small lineup (Bibby, Craw, JJ) is a defensive disaster.

JJ's last comments give impression that he separates himself from the team. It's not something any fan would like to see and especially Joe's talent fans. But Crawford is not even in the same league as a player.

Celtics play great team basketball and our guys easily get lost in such situations on D. But KG is too slow to stop JSmoove and JJ has to finally shoot with decent % and it can happen against aging Allen. Atlanta - Boston 98:94

I also don't understand that spin. JJ said some things, but he still is our first gun like it or not and probably second best shooting guard in the east. He's much more consistent on offense than Crawford, who, when gets cold, is good for nothing, and much better defensive player. Joe played through injury big parts of last season, you have to respect him for that.

Bibby usually gives good rhythm to offensive game, he's good shooter, also from midrange. His defense is not that catastrophic - while not fast nor athletic he always puts effort, challenges shots and understands well team defense - in other words does what he can. He's most vulnerable against fast players, that's why he shouldn't play together with Zaza and why we'll see more Teague on Friday against Boston.

I don't mind smaller role for Marvin as long as he defends and rebounds and steps up from time to time. Mo had very good preseason and season start and is shooting extremely well. It's like our SFs swapped confidence.

Our perimeter D is problematic so I predict rather close game.

Three best Hawks, Wade and Bosh, Gasols, Nowitzki, Nash and Williams.

Josh averages 2.5 rebs/48 mins more than Joe. However I think he needs to score 20+ pts/g or have 10+ boards/g to be noticed. Blocks, assists, steals and hight FG% won't get him there.

So Joe's open to critisize his teammates. I want to hear also some positives from him. Joe averaged 5 assists/game last season, now his avg is 4 which is some drop but honestly I thought he had less assists this year. He wasn't effective playing 1 on 1 against Denver but usually he shoots quite well (he has one of best floater in the league) when he goes with the ball inside. 45% FG is pretty good for SG esp. when 3 ball is not falling in for him.

Joe's offensive rebs/mins stat (6.3 per 48 mins) is great . He shoud get more time so we can see if it's a fluke.

JSmoove plays with heart and that's why, besides his defensive plays, I like him so much. He's also good teammate. I hope he stays healthy and continues playing like that.

Joe's the most selfish player on this team right now. I'm not hating, just saying.

He was just the best option this week.

Good for Joe to get some recognition early in the season. I hope he'll understand that working for team success is also a way to make his contract year successful.

I admit that I based my statement only on impression and I was talking about this season. Absurd maybe in case of MJ, otherwise just oversimplification. Anyway, they don't allow defenders to surround them far away from basket so fans feel relief if they manage to pass the ball to a teammate before shot clock runs down. Because he tends to dominate the ball, not the game.
