    Trae's size has a lot to do both the decision making and outcomes of his drives.

    Nobody is ignoring that. We all have spoken out against it, especially after last night.

    We are 2-7 in 2021 after starting the season 3-0. We have not looked very good for weeks now. Our last win was against an injury-depleted team. We have shown an overall lack of discipline and focus. And cannot buy a three point shot to save our lives. Injuries are real, but even the guys who are suiting up are under performing. (Rondo looked bad against POR, Snell cant hit a three, and OO is playing like a rookie). Despite it all, its pretty clear that we could still have won most of our games if Trae just played the way we all expect. Turnovers, shot selection, and shot making. If Trae can turn those around, we become that much more deadly. Our mojo is off. Trae is our mojo. We need him to snap out of it if we want to right this ship. Also, that's why it's important to have more than 1 star on your team. We go as 1 player goes. That's a volatile scenario.

    You almost have to take Trae out if he doesn't understand that he cannot take those shots in this moment. Summer League Trae is back

    Vet teams feed to the post late it games. We ain't built like that. Everyone is more comfortable facing the basket with space. That space disappears down the stretch.

    You see how important it is to have a a guy you can throw it in to late in games to get buckets? Its winning time in a close game, Blazers are running offense through Melo in the post and pretty soon once we start doubling will get clean looks from outside. Meanwhile, we are still floating on the outside hoping Trae can create magic.

    Capela cant shoot. At all. That alone makes him the bad fit. Defenses dont have to honor him outside of the paint, and that makes the pick roll game less effective. The pick and roll game is Trae's bread and butter. He is struggling with his offense so far. You see where this going. Coach can get more creative with the pick and roll. But it needs to revolve around Trae and JC, not Clint. Clint needs to be the outlet for a big to big lob pass once Clints man cheats off him to guard JC.

    We lack toughness. I think it starts with how we handle injuries. We are mentally coddled. Coaching plays a major part. Guys get their nuts snatched and dont have the moxy to respond. There is some bxtchassness in the locker room and it needs to be expelled immediately.

    Agreed. Snyder had adjustments for every run we made. We still cant find open shooters.

    At this point, when your best defensive unit cant stop anyone, you have to look at coaching. LP, you are not getting through to your team in practice. They are not learning what you are teaching, and they dang sure aren't executing it. This is flat out awful.

    He is an aggressive scorer. I love his confidence. He is not shy about letting it fly, and they all look good.

    Didn't seem like Mitchell missed at all, weird seeing he was 4/7 from three.

    Its his first basketball game in nearly a year. No summer league. No preseason. Let him get his feet wet a bit and shake off the rust. He will adjust to the speed.

    A) we need to hit some threes B) Trae needs to be stuck in a corner on defense C) Keeping their bigs (Gobert) off the glass needs to be a team effort. D) Hunter, Huerter, Reddish. They have the advantage this game. Let then eat and eat. Play off of them tonight.

    When Trae can't get his offense going, he is a liability for us on the court. He simply is not good enough defensively to make up for scoring slumps. Teams are just going at him at will and screening him to death. He is dead in the water at that point. Utah is killing us with guard play and on the glass. Our wings are eating though. We need to feed them.

    Trae is getting eaten alive on ball screens. He should not ever be asked to defend the point of attack, it sets our defense up for failure every time.

    Does Rondo actually play is the real question. Seems like the injury list is finally shrinking. Still, those are 3 of our top 9 players out.

    Right, he is a rookie. Its his first month. Remember Trae or Cam's first month let alone first 7 games lol

    This was always going to be one of those drafts where the talent wasn't concentrated at the top.
