  1. Awesome! Good for him getting some recognition
  2. No. Way. For the first time in a longggg time. Adding depth is something that doesn't look like needs to be done anyway. Morrow needs more PT and Jenkins needs more PT IMO. Anyone else think Morrow is better than Korver or do I stand alone?
  3. I just threw up in my mouth a little bit
  4. I almost threw up after the jump ball with about 30 seconds to go in the Bulls/Clippers game last night. Anyone else see it? It was thrown so poorly that Deng couldn't even reach far enough to get a finger on it. I know that jump ball's have been redone because of poor tosses before and that should have been what was done. Clipps end up with it and hit free throws to ice the game. I agree with you Hawksrule152, some sketchy stuff goes on in these games. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that the Eastern Conference team lost but still, it was awful.
  5. ESPN may never give us any love but if you want to watch a decent highlight here's a video from NBA.com. http://www.nba.com/games/20121208/ATLMEM/gameinfo.html
  6. Good article that touches on our upcoming free agent situation and a little on team chemistry off the court. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8713032/nba-summer-shuffling-atlanta-hawks-a-surprising-start
  7. I'm assuming in this trade scenario you're not trading Horf for Hawes straight up are you? I like Hawes but Horf is a far superior player.
  8. If Birdman is found innocent will that girl face any repercussions?
  9. Oscar RobertsonMitch RichmondLeBron JamesCharles BarkleyDikembe MutomboI think this makes for an interesting starting 5.
  10. I think it all depends on the person and what's most important to you. Are you someone who wants to see your friends and family often or are you good with only seeing them part of the year? Are you up to the challenge of playing in a country where you probably don't know the language? Is the difference in culture a scary shock to you or a learning experience? Yes, you would have a bigger role over seas but there is still no other place out there that can compare to the country we live in. We've got it good. I'm staying here.
  11. Wow. There would be some pretty incredible battles if these teams played in real life.
  12. Nope right through my bedroom door. It was not solid, it was almost like it was made out of cardboard.
  13. I'd feel wrong voting for any season other than 07-08. I slammed a wiffle ball bat on my floor. When it bounced up in went right through my shitty apartment door during game 7. That series cost me a new door. I loved that team.
  14. For his first few years Marvin was one of our top options but was still young and developing. Then when I thought he was going to really come into his own like it all went south for Marvin after we drafted Al and then further south after we traded for Bibby.
  15. I am happy for Marvin beacause he's finally got a shot to showcase his skills. Like it or not, Marvin was never given a true opportunity here to be even a good player. He came in and did exactly what he was supposed to do under Woody and LD. NO player with Marvin's skillset is going to flourish in an offense that is designed to have the 2 guard with the ball in his hand for 17+ seconds on the shot clock. Our expectations of Marvin were extremely high because of his draft status (which they should have been) but in a system where the shooting guard handles the ball until he gets his shot or until 6 seconds are on the shotclock wasn't going to work for a guy who was the 4th or 5th option on these teams. If it wasn't Joe it was Bibby or Jamal or Josh or Al THEN Marvin. Did many of our other young draft picks flourish under our head coach that liked to kill young player's confidence Mike Woodson? Do many other teams have their 5th option make the all-star team or score 20 points a game? I attribute much of Marvins lack of success to the Hawks coaching and wish him all the best in Utah.
  16. Al Farouq Aminu - Strictly picked because of potential. He's long and is probably in a good situation now. Looking forward to seeing what he does. PMing Dolfan
  17. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1253921-nba-free-agency-2012-chicago-bulls-could-be-facilitator-in-dwight-howard-tradeThe Hawks would get Dwight Howard and Carlos Boozer. The Chicago Bulls would receive Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson, Glen Davis and Quentin Richardson while the Orlando Magic would get Al Horford, Kyle Korver, Richard Hamilton, and a first-round pick from Atlanta and a first-round pick from Chicago. Why the heck would the Bulls do this? Would it be just to get rid of Boozer's contract? Would that matter when they have to take back Turkoglu and Richardson? I know the only trade one guy and a pick and receive 4 vets but I just don't get it. Am I going to get Bleacher Report rumors banned from homecourt?
