  1. I saw Hill dap up George before the game started. I forget Hill played against/with majority of today's NBA superstars. I even saw George at one point sitting next to Millsap on the bench during the All Star game. I wonder if Hill talked to any of the guys up about coming to ATL.
  2. I'd pass on Lou. He isn't the piece that would push ATL over the top to beat CLE in the playoffs.
  3. It would make sense but Bud isn't going to do it. ATL will probably trade for Shelvin Mack. He's getting DNPs in Utah.
  4. That is true. I didn't think about that. No excuse for them. Got a top coach and 2 legit #1 picks.
  5. ATL would probably have to trade their 1st along with Baze to get rid of him for cap or trade him straight up for another bad contract like Evan Turner to get rid of him.
  6. I wish that MINN '18 1st was unprotected.
  7. GS. As the Hawks got away from small ball, the NBA has embraced small ball.
  8. I would think Hawks ball is evolving. It doesn't look like the offense 2 years ago.
  9. I wish ATL had somebody who played with the confidence he has.
  10. Yeah because I'm like if think Millsap going to stay with the team just because they didn't trade him, that's dumb. I would think ATL got to show him something besides selling him on the potential of Dennis and Hardaway getting better to show he can win a title in ATL if he stays. He doesn't have time to wait especially when he's going to NO next week and going to be around superstars who would want him on their team.
  11. IT is playing at a whole different level than Dennis. He couldn't even take advantage of IT's defensive liabilities.
  12. You can't really upgrade the team with any of those assets. You might be able to get a guy like PJ Tucker for a 1st but that isn't going to make the Hawks that much better. Now if Dennis, Hardaway, Millsap and Dwight were on the block that would be a different story.
  13. I don't think so. When you look at NFL teams like NE and SEA they lose assistant coaches to be HCs all the time but they promote with it. The problem with ATL I think is they're behind today's NBA. Everybody is going to small ball, ATL got bigger this past summer.
  14. He got help now - Horford and Bradley. IT owns Dennis. Bradley can lock down Hardaway. Their scheme can stop Dwight Millsap would put up numbers but he can't guarantee 25+ points every game like IT could. Crowder and Smart got better since last season. I believe Crowder is quietly having a 50/40/90 season.
  15. Yeah, it looks like he's getting the foundation down and not afraid to put his foot down to get what he wants (arena renovations/new arena).
  16. Makes sense. Stars are hard to get though. Hawks been wanting Dwight for a while. I could imagine though the old ownership would have gave Horford the full 5 year max. I guess that'll be the standard.
  17. I wonder what Ressler's timetable is. He basically inherited Ferry's team. I'm curious to see if he ever wants to bring in his own guys.
  18. That's what I was trying to say. That's not really much cap space to bring people in to improve the team. 7 mil and 8 mil only going to get you 3rd stringers.
  19. I think Hardaway may get offered more than Baze. SG is a weak position in FA and in the NBA in general.
  20. It's going to be tricky. Hawks don't have much cap space. Millsap's cap hold is 30 mil. Hawks only have a little over 30 mil in cap space this summer.
  21. WCF. I didn't but I saw the stats. I'd expect him to score that in a game where you play 50+ minutes. I never said Millsap is a scrub. I'm just saying if you resign Millsap, you're pretty much saying you're bringing back the same team from this season to next season since you won't have the financial flexibility to sign any FAs really.
  22. Financial flexibility would be great. Millsap isn't worth the 25+ mil he'll command.
