  1. Yeah, Dennis/Hardaway (if they keep him)/Prince. Bamba would be good too.
  2. Hawks are a better team when they have a stretch five (Ersan & MIllsap) at center.
  3. Make - Showcases talent (Baze, Dwight, Dennis, Prince) for trades.
  4. No plus there's better options out there like Mack, Collison and Jennings.
  5. The team peaked 2 seasons ago, Bud just hadn't figured it out yet. Putting bandaids on a sinking ship.
  6. He just want to get paid. Horford didn't get offered the full max starting at 26 mil a year, no way ATL is gonna give him a starting max at 33 mil a year. Denver will. Nobody wants them.
  7. 23 mil a year for 2 more years will be a bargain seeing how the cap will rise and salaries going up more. If Dwight is really all about trying to change his reputation and wanting to win in ATL it's his best bet. Otherwise his reputation is damaged beyond repair like Rondo. He could still get big minutes like Kanter and Monroe. That'd be a nice lineup. I question if Millsap would get shut down soon. Knee injuries are no joke and he's trying to get that last big pay day. A torn ACL would cost him millions.
  8. I'm not sure how much patience ownership has left with Bud but I can definitely tell ownership is starting to get their influence on roster management with the team going away from cheap journeymen (Carroll, Mack, Baze, etc) to chasing stars (George, Butler) in midseason, that's not Bud like. Nobody is going to take Dwight and Baze unless you take worse contract/s back or give up a 1st. I'd say have them come off the bench and they dominate 2nd units, maybe somebody would give up a late 1st. They'd end up like the Mavs the past couple of years, veteran team that keeps making the playoffs but don't expect them to make any noise. POR is young.
  9. Bench Howard. He's not a starter in today's NBA. The Hawks play better with Millsap at C.
  10. Hawks trying to emulate the Spurs when they should be trying to emulate the Warriors. It may even give fans a reason to be excited. The whole ball movement niche of the Hawks died out this year.
  11. Yeah Millsap needs to go. ATL tried to make him their #1 option when he's clearly not that guy. He's a great 3rd option on a contender. You don't pay 3rd option maxes starting at 33 mil a year. I see him signing to DEN. He got ties to DEN and DEN wanted him this past summer.
  12. I agree. Hardaway is a RFA so ATL can and should match any offer he gets.
  13. I'm afraid to see your bench if Millsap resigns. I doubt Prince starts. It seems like if you aren't a year 3+ player for Bud you don't start. My starters PG - Dennis SG - Hardaway SF - Baze PF - Ersan C - Dwight
  14. I wish they did the same with Dennis. You see teams like SA and DET take advantage of cap holds, use all their cap space then decide if they're going to resign their guy but oh well.
  15. He's going to get the max and ATL got no choice but to match it. SG is a weak position in FA this summer and you got a desperate Nets team who would love to have him to keep Boston from having back to back top draft picks.
  16. I highly doubt Pop cares about that stat. I think the only stat he cares about is winning title #6.
  17. Yeah, SG is a weak position and teams like Brooklyn will definitely offer Hardaway the max and ATL has to match it. ATL can't afford Millsap. His max starts at 33 mil. Yes, they can actually afford him but he'll take away ATL's financial flexibility and he's not worth it. I could see if he elevated a team like LeBron does but he doesn't. If ATL didn't want to pay Horford starting at 26 mil a year I highly doubt they'd want to pay Millsap his asking price. I could imagine teams like Denver and Brooklyn will be willing to pay him what he wants.
  18. I tried to look it up and couldn't find anything. All I kept seeing was stories from 2 years ago about how his deal is up soon.

    Ersan

If only they had a young PF he could mentor. He did a good job with Saric.
  20. He should have never traded Mack.
  21. Dennis needs a Horford-like center. One who can draw the center out the paint and set high screens for him. Dwight need to come off the bench. Shooters are definitely a must for a Dennis led team. Him and Hardaway can easily average 40+ points if they had the spacing.
  22. Yeah, Hawks only have one true SF. Thankfully this will be his last year in ATL. They won't be able to afford him.
  23. I'm curious to see how ownership feels about this. They didn't pay Dennis all this money for him to be on the bench in the 4th quarter.
