I just think he's a bad fit offensively/defensively in today's NBA. It's no different than Greg Monroe, Kanter etc having to come off the bench dominating 2nd string centers. Millsap is the Hawks' best option at C.

Right. He was. Him and Pero are missed. I see Horford is doing wonders for IT now. ATL's best option now is to have Dwight come off the bench (unless a non-stretch center starts) and start Millsap at C and Ersan at PF.

Bud didn't do a good job surrounding Dennis the talent to succeed. Dennis need shooters all around him, not guys like Dwight.

I recall Raptors exposed that last week. They'll be okay when Bradley returns, can't count on him to stay healthy though. Not going harder after Butler may backfire on them in the playoffs.

Finally somebody talking sense. I could imagine it's hard for him to build a team to win now then think about flexibility for the future.

People overrate Ferry. If he drafted better before he left, ATL would be in a better position long term than it is right now.

A late 1st in 2019 isn't really anything special. Millsap is too expensive for ATL. They should have got something for him. It's not really going to matter, Hawks aren't even that good in attendance.

I expect us to beat MIA and ORL this weekend, but can we beat BOS on Monday? Beating BOS would a statement win especially after the last game where Baze is looking like a fool guarding IT on the last shot and Dennis sitting on the bench during the 4th like Teague and whining to the media talking about IT talking about his mom.

It looks like. Baze is a 3 and TH is a 2 though. I think Thabo is gone after this season so Prince would get more minutes and Hawks can't afford to keep him. I guess best case got to hope with Hardaway going into the offseason as starter he could average 20+ points a game while Millsap (if he stays) and Dwight takes a step back.

Jack probably won't be ready until next season. I was surprised they didn't bring Mack back.

I don't feel any better. Best case 2nd rd round exit, could easily be a first round if they have to match up with TOR, WAS and BOS.

I'm just being realistic. After seeing Horford, KD, LeBron, Wade leave their teams, nothing surprises me anymore. I figured Bud would go in-house with a replacement like he did with Teague, Korver and Carroll.

Would probably have to take a similiar bad contract in return for Baze if ATL doesn't attach their 1st to him. I thought bringing Hill in that he was going to get involved. He'd definitely be more influencial to FAs. Butler would be nice at SF. I'm curious if the FO would be willing to pay Millsap the full 5 year max.

He'd be a great fit. Solid 3 & D guy when healthy plus he played with Dwight before.
