Yeah he worked for SAC I believe for a while and I can't say they have the best resume when it comes to team building. Hawks may need to go the unconventional route like the Warriors/Lakers and hire an agent as GM.

Hawks could do a sign and trade but teams rarely do it anymore. Millsap could sign with his new team without them giving up assets. I'm not exactly sure about the money since there are so many cap holds with the other FAs. Not sure if they'll get resigned. I know Millsap got a 30 mil cap hold.

Yeah, i'm curious to see who they hire as President/GM. They may have a different vision than Bud and Wilcox. I could imagine if Bud and Wilcox were still in charge, Millsap would get the 5 year max first day unlike what they did with Horford.

He stays as long as ATL offers him the full five year max first day of FA. If they don't and he talks to other teams he's gone.

DEN and SAC. Both have shown consistent interest in him. I don't think he cares if he plays on a title contender. He almost signed to ORL right after the ECF season. I could imagine BOS (Horford connection)and BK (Atkinson connection) will approach him.

Attendance got worse this past season. A drop off wouldn't be that noticeable. Hawks were 26th this past season.

I expect Baze and Dwight back. Nobody is going to take those deals especially Dwight. It comes down to this Millsap situation on who comes back. His cap hold takes up so much of the Hawks' cap space. Hopefully he makes his decision before 4th of July. If I was him I'd leave.

This may not be the right system for Hardaway then to be that guy. You look at Harden and Korver when they got a bigger role, they got the ball more. Here Dennis got the ball in his hands.

I agree. I wish NBA had a Franchise Tag because it's going to take a ridiculous contract like Baze's to keep him which is too much for a 6th man. I'm hoping Bembry takes the next step in his development. Prince defied the odds being the first rookie to start under Bud, maybe Bembry could be be the 1st 2nd yr player.

Hawks aren't going to tank while Bud is here. Dennis will have to be that guy. Bud has to find a way to better compliment him.

I wasn't a fan of the Baze resigning when it happened. I was fine with HOU overpaying for him but unfortunately ATL wanted him back. I loved the Dwight signing at first because I thought the offense would evolve but unfortunately this year showed Bud needs stretch bigs for his system to work. He should have paid the money for Horford or brought Pero back. I highly doubt Wilcox-Bud does a PG13 trade. I expect the team to look the same next season. Hopefully Dennis, Hardaway and Prince become a Big 3 next season.

Hmm...Nets could have as high as 34 mil in cap space. Hawks may need to attach a 1st to it like '18 MINN 1st/'19 CLE 1st since Baze would have 3 years left on his deal unlike how SA dumped expirings (Diaw/Splitter) to Utah and ATL respectively. I'm very curious to see what Millsap's salary demands are. I find it hard to believe any team would pay him a max starting at 30+ mil a year.

This is the Dennis I was expecting to show up all this season based on what I've seen from him in the playoffs in the past. I criticized Bud for resigning him early which cuts into this summer's cap space but now it's looking like a bargain. He'd easily be a max contract player this summer.

Carroll can't stay healthy. Prince > Carroll.

Brooklyn will. They have no pick next season and threw big contracts to Crabbe and Johnson. I'd expect Atkinson due to his familiarity with him try to go after him like he did Lin, another guy he coached in the past.
