  1. that teague technical comes to mind
  2. why does barkley insist on calling coach bud- budenheizer
  3. Muscala's interior defense is a bit suspect, but his offensive game is so much better than pero right now, that Moose should get more minutes

    Kenny $hit

Listening those talking heads is bad for your health bud...I know, because every time I hear Jon Berry, Marc Jackson, or Jalen Rose's voice- I have to take a shot of cheap bourbon.
  5. what the hell is wrong with everyone, of course the hawks can still win it
  6. 1.) Memphis is a hell of a team, and built for the playoffs...and it wouldn't surprise me if they won it all 2.) The hawks need to find some sort of motivation- our best players look like they don't want to be out there half the time; the bench coming in and dominating the same game the starters looked absolutely lost in is unacceptable
  7. another odd tip time, 5pm...what ever happened to those good ol' 7-7:30 tips
  8. that start time didn't do anything to help, plus espn, tnt etc... never televise the hawks, so no one outside georgia has a chance to build an interest in the team sort of like when the braves were on national tv every game in the 90s, everyone loved them...now (outside of the se) who cares
  9. as bad (or silly) as this seems, I wish the hawks had a dude that would shove another dude and taunt him or slap lebron's mom...we are so nice sometimes- (e.g.) an Angry Horford claps his hands- great sportsmanship, but little to get under the opponents skin
  10. I actually would prefer brent barry and the oteher guy over any national tv commentator other than hubie brown-- who is quite possibly the best basketball mind calling games, so I always enjoy his take the scheduling does seems "wacky" but it is like that for the warriors as well...it is the tip times that seem the most disrespectful
  11. I actually thought sap played decent and Teague did have an off game but probably due to the ankle. The team just looked exhausted in the second half! I expect a repeat of the first half, for the entire game come game 2
  12. I like that teague stat...especially in the day of every pg in the league shooting what seems like 20-30 times a night...just shows you that the hawks are a TEAM
  13. as someone else posted above; I'd rather resign sap, carrol and bring in a wes mathews, danny green, etc... don't think we'll be able to afford a Aldridge, Gasol, Butler, Leonard type- if they would even leave their teams in the first place...have a feeling LA will be a mav next season though if he leaves portland
  14. even if the pelicans did choke- in another season or so, I feel like Davis will be the best player in the game. He just needs a little more help around him
  15. Anyone see the celtics cavs game tonight, where lebron gets poked in the eye (or something) stops, looks at the ref, points to his face and feigns bloody-murder. Of course, the ref immediately calls a foul, even though he had no clue what happened, besides la king wasn't happy...guy really does have his own rulebook
  16. We are derided by the national media as being fair-weather fans, who create little to no atmosphere at games, and now that the fan base is energized and creating noise- you want to criticize them for that? I just don't get it. I booed game one, and if the series returns to Atlanta (which hopefully it doesn't) I'll boo then too- if for no other reason than it is just a freakin blast to do.
  17. Can't remember the last time I've seen so many questionable foul calls go against the home team in the playoffs...and they don't even have a star player. I dread how ridiculous its going to get against wall, lebron, rose etc...
  18. Heard him on 92.9 today, and thought the same thing. I still have a hard time believing he is the coach of our hawks.

    Game 1 thoughts

I booed JJ everytime he touched the ball loudly, proudly and drunkly...and you know what...It felt awesome. What was even more awesome, were the other thousands of people doing it with me, and even awesome(er) than that is his 0-6 from three, which I like to think the booing contributed to. So, I say boo on my friends, boo on.
  20. not trying to be a richard but really, what in the context of this season and -only this season- makes you think the hawks will struggle against brooklyn...and if you say brook lopez I might go kick a kitten
  21. lopez averages 17.5 and 7 for his career against us....I'm sure the hawks are losing a lot of feathers, fretting over the idea of keeping THE brook lopez in check lack of playoff winning experience, lack of height, lack of a star, etc..hawks should just save face and forfeit their playoff games before they even start

    IF....

Wesley Mathews seems like a great fit (coming off a serious injury, might be cheap) Draymond Green is good, even if his offense suffers on a new team, he is a great defender and a legit passer; Gasol and Leonard (my favorites) are pipe dreams unfortunately (green too) really hope millsap and dmc stick around though; plus who could we possibly sign that not only has a nickname like the junkyard dog, an always goes third person with it in interviews....NO ONE
  23. Wait the lebron network picked up the game tonight? I am flabbergasted. I really hope it is Hubie Brown calling it, otherwise I'll have to mute it and listen to Steve Holman. I did like the video though...the narrator sounds like the narrator from the Bastion and Transistor games- awesome voice
  24. Payne was shooting like 33% with the t-wolves before this game, and if you watch the game tonight, he looks like a great athlete that has limited knowledge of the playbook- that just so happened- to have some good hustle plays, and one sick dunk. Payne is already like 50 years old with low bbiq, I think the Hawks made the right move....besides at this point if Coach Bud traded Millsap for a statue of Tyler Perry to accompany Nique, I'd believe it was the right move for the team moving forward.
  25. according to Jalen "insert lebron wenis joke" Rose, the Cavaliers have an easy path to the finals, unless the Bulls are healthy... seems Toronto has been the only team that has really pushed us around (and the 76ers, feels like every game against them is rough) I only feel like the cavs are a problem because of the lebron rulebook- we are a much, much better team
