I support the hawks, players come and go...that said, damn I'd be upset if Horford didn't retire a Hawk

I lived in Lindbergh, Buckhead, Midtown, even downtown above a hookah bar before I joined the military- never had any problems with crime. As someone else stated, where you are working is really what should dictate where you live to some degree- I don't envy those who have to take 85s every morning- seriously if you don't smoke, you will after a few weeks of that traffic nightmare. Cobb Co. is a very nice place to raise kids- but if you work downtown- you are back to the traffic problem. As far as having season tickets, I don't, but I go to a lot of games, and if you love the team, it never, ever, ever, ever gets boring. Thinking about jumping on that season ticket wagon this year, and I just dropped the 50$ to get on the season ticket list for the MLS team as well!

The offseason...how do you see/want things going down?

I want matthews as bad as supes wants monroe I think teague, matthews, dmc would be one of the better wing defensive combos in the east, not to mention a healthy thabo and korver coming off the bench. However, I don't think it will be possible to resign the jyd, sap and bring in matthews (le sigh). Someone did start an Ed Davis trade thread, and I think he would make a great athletic backup 5, maybe we could afford Davis and Danny Green or something like that- I don't know I just throw out names and leave the more difficult cap stuff to people smarter than me. -
Horford did looked fully engaged in game 3, but we know how that turned out....I still believe a healthy Hawks team beats the Cavs, which is why watching that series was so painful.

B.Lopez doesn't bring a lot on defense and he doesn't rebound well but when he is on offensively -he is awesome. I would like Robin Lopez though, cheap, gritty, plays-hard, etc..and he would leave enough for some decent wing players, matthews, danny green, resign jyd etc.. but yea if we got gasol I think I might have a mild heart attack- he would fit so great into our scheme- great handling and passing, plays great d, decent rebounder, 7 FEET TALL, great post-up game, horford could go to the 4 Odd though, if we signed gasol, millsap might be a better fit at 4 than horford

I like the way you think

can we have danny green too lol I like splitter but he is expensive for what he brings

Is it too late to give Ray Allen a call

Of course the big name players would be awesome but, I want wes mathews. He is coming off injury so should be cheap, and that guy plays with a chip on his shoulder and will be even more fiery than usual coming back from the injury. Plus, the hawks need a guy with some grit. I wouldn't mind Robin Lopez coming with him either (if we aren't resigning sap). Danny Green would also be a good cheaper option. (I know the season is still on, but I really need to talk about something other than this series right now)

I wore my hawks playoff tee to kroger the other day and had three people walked by me and yelled "GO HAWKS!" I was so dumbfounded the first time it happened I just stood there and stared at him...it is a great time to be a hawk

Thabo & Pero Arrested; Thabo OUT FOR SEASON due to injuries
nonono replied to ersimo2889's topic in Homecourt
Great read thanks for the post 24 hour news and potentially one of the largest stories in the nba this season and everyone is afraid to cover it- or don't care because he is a hawk- bravo journalism, bravo -
must have missed his 5-17 brick fest tonight...or Horford in the Washington series
-
We are in the ecf for the first time in team history depsite: Teague and Millsap being hurt the entire postseason, our best wing defender sitting out because he was a victim of police barbarism and Korver being a shell of his former self right now. I suppose Larry and Mike could have worked similar miracles with this team as well eh?

After Dellevadova grabbed a rebound over Antić he died to me... In all seriousness, I don't get the defend pero or hate pero at all costs mentality- dude is a hawk so I'll cheer him on, but he is a mediocre player at best. I do wish Scott would get some playing time at the four and let Antić and Moose compete for the backup minutes at the five. It is what it is at this point, no use getting our knickers ruffled over it
-
Horford would be a star as would Teague in NY or LA- fine by me though- we all know how good they are and that is all that matters
-
congratulations! If we win it all, you might have to change her birth certificate and find a way to work budenholzer in her name though....elizaholzer, budenbeth...it could work
-
I don't think the team in the lead wants to extend the game, seems counterproductive. Plus, we just turned it over trying to inbound and Al missed a free throw to seal the deal- think the best route was to just let it play out.
-
DMC said after the game he thought about fouling but didn't want to make bud angry so he just defended
-
If Hollywood scripted an ending like that -I would laugh- it was so fantastical....but IT ACTUALLY FREAKIN HAPPENED!!!! Holy shyte I can't believe we are in the ecf
-
I'd be amazed in Thibideau is the coach next season.
