  1. I’m not understanding why the Kings would draft Bagely over Doncic. Makes zero sense to me.
  2. There is a lot of smoke pointing to Atlanta really liking Young. Zach Lowe even said it on the recent LowePost episode. Definitely think there is some truth to it. I have my concerns but I’d be okay with the pick. He’s the only guy outside of Doncic that has serious playmaking potential on the perimeter. The Hawks lack that more than most teams.
  3. Defense is very important but you aren’t winning a championship without atleast one offensive anchor. It’s not a coincidence that teams win championships have one. If you go all in on defense, you’ll end up being the next Memphis Grizzlies or the Pacers squad that couldn’t get past the Heat.
  4. The Hawks better be damn sure they get this pick right then. I'm fine being wrong, but JJJ has really good role player written all over him. We can do better this year. That’s my thing. IF everything works out for him, I see Jackson being one of the better high end role players in the league. Unless he completely transforms himself on offense, that’s his ceiling. How many teams take a guy like that top 3? Teams that hit on top 3 selections usually get someone better than a really good role player.
  5. If Doncic is there at 3, the pic is a no brainer to me.
  6. The front office seems to understand what they would be getting into if they drafted Young. I wouldn’t be a huge fan of the pick but I’d understand it. We need shot creation and playmaking pretty badly.
  7. It’s looking like Ayton to Phoenix is a lock. Unless the Kings do something stupid, the top two might already be set already.
  8. If Young is the guy, they’d have to build the team specifically around Trae like the Warriors did with Steph. I don’t know if Young is even worth doing that for.
  9. Only young player that interests me in a potential trade with Boston is Tatum.
  10. It would be stupid to pass on Bagely because of Collins. If he’s the best guy on the board, you take him and get a defensive big later down the road. This team isn’t in the stage to be drafting for fit. I’m fine with whoever the pick is as long as it’s one of the bigs.
  11. He’s definitely getting trading.
  12. This board is getting terrible.
  13. Yeah. Philly from a roster standpoint isn’t ready for anything beyond a second round appearance. I don’t think they would beat Toronto either. The raw talent on the team is real but the construction of the roster is flawed. They only have like one guy that can consistently create his own shot while the Celtics have several guys that can. Plus Stevens is putting on a coaching clinic during this series. The 76ers don’t have the experience or roster to overcome getting outcoached. Milwaukees problem is both coaching and roster construction. They have the worst big man rotation in the playoffs. Getting Bud would help them tremendously.
  14. His line of thinking is a terrible way to judge players. Just terrible.
  15. This team should’ve rebuilded years ago but for entirely different reasons.
  16. Of course. He isn’t a high upside player which makes him a prime trade candidate. It might happen on draft night.
  17. When Bud lost his GM abilities, y’all should’ve known this was coming eventually. He was never sticking around for an extended period of time. Why would he? Especially with a new GM coming on board. It was inevitable and all the hoping in the world wasn’t going to make it not be a reality. Anyway, I’m glad this is over. The main focus should be on the personnel side of things which will determine how big of a ceiling this team will have whenever they become a playoff team again.
  18. His parting gift before leaving was screwing our odds of landing a top 2 pick.
  19. Bamba’s shooting mechanics look much better here than at any point in college.
  20. I can’t think of any recent situations outside of San Antonio where a coach having GM abilities worked out in the end. Didn’t work with SVG or Rivers. Bud didn’t do well with more power either.

Talent rules in the playoffs. We see it every year.
  22. Those Stepian dudes kind of annoy me in that they come off fair but clearly have their biases. They place more value on primary initiator equity than anything else which is why they LOVE Doncic and won’t spend the amount of time discussing his flaws like they do everyone else. Doncic’s deficiencies could seriously hamper his effectiveness against long and athletic teams but those Stepian dudes won’t go into it like they will Ayton’s defensive awareness. None of these guys at the top are without their warts.
