  1. What's the point? The whole purpose of being here is to waste time and post our expert 'opinions' for the sake of entertaining ourselves and not driving our significant other crazy talking about something they don't care about. We've all been wrong on countless occasions so unless someone is just being an asshole what's the point of calling them out. Of course, the calling out the aholes is great entertainment too.
  2. I don't really remember many people hating the move but it seemed like a no brainer to most. Even before this year Millsap did almost everything Josh does just better. Josh may be a better passer but the things you really want your PF doing Millsap is so underrated
  3. It would be awesome. The Nets have already put out the rumor that they are targeting him for 2016 (or whenever it is). But really it wouldn't suprise me if Dallas gets in the mix. Of anyone in the league though i think i'd pick Durant.
  4. Because he'll make more money in markets like New York and LA through better endorsement deals.
  5. This is a terrible year. Some one has to MAKE the playoffs. I think we are going to see a lot of 'sore back' injuries amongst the 7-10 seeds in the east as we get toward the playoffs.
  6. Not to be a smart ass but the reason one player can dominate in the nba team and take a team from crap to great is really just math. There are only 5 players on the floor and a superstar is on the floor for 80% of the game. A pro quarterback is maybe involved in 50% of the game and is entirely dependent on 10 other guys. Baseball players? 4 at bats out of 40 and a handful of defensive plays a game. Even hockey which is most like basketball runs 3 or 4 different lines. A superstar might be on the ice 50% of the game. Maybe.

    Lou W

So I"m wondering about Gordon Hayward myself. He's RFA this summer right? So what would we have to offer to keep them from matching? Is Teague/hayward/korver/milsap/horford a contending team? That's a hard working team with a lot of scoring power. He was shooting for $12 million a year extension supposedly. Is that too much?
  8. I'm a skeptic when it comes to Jamal. Great offensive player but how much can you use him in the playoffs? Absolutely the worst effort on defense of anybody i've seen.

    Why

Show me where i said Dennis doesn't deserve more time. But the truth is every player in the league can do that once in a while. I hope he follows it up.

    Why

he hit 4 shots and had one assist. Why are we talking about this like it was some kind of monster game? Ayón had 10 rebounds and 4 assists in 25 minutes. Even adjusted for time Ayón had more dimes than Dennis. Where is the praise for Ayón? Mack had 15/7. Millsap continues to be a beast yet we're talking about the guy with 10/1 in 13 minutes.
  11. Just watched that last play. Durant's was much more of a travel than Millsap's. WTF. Pivot foot step back. How do you miss two calls in a row. B friggn S.
  12. 3 top teams in basketball taken down in the span of a week and half even with our injuries. That's what i wanted. NBA had other ideas. I guess we're getting too big for our britches. 3 refs 'missing' that call is a joke. We won that game. That was BS.
  13. I think the thing on the two year deal was that Paul is very confident in his game and physical condition. The Hawks were a big unknown and he probably didn't want to feel locked into a losing situation if that's what it ended up being. He probably felt pretty good that in two years he could get another big contract and get to choose his destination. There is a risk of injury and other things for sure but like i said he's a confident guy.
  14. 17? That's kind of a joke considering the teams in front of us. We seem to be judged more by our roster than our actual record or play.
  15. I guess the coach is supposed to help the rooks get dressed.
  16. The other thing about Dwight the last few years is it should make people realize just how good a coach Stan Van Gundy is. I know a lot don't like him, and frankly i get annoyed with him, but he's pretty damn good.
  17. I can't say i've seen them play enough times to be any kind of expert. But the games i've seen them lose in the past it just seems like he didn't get the ball enough.
  18. Anyone have a video of Scott's dunk against the Heat? That was one of the best hawks dunks of this year

    Midpoint

We have to be realistic though. Its not like Ferry found him under a rock. I'm sure everyone in the NBA knew of him and he was mid to late first round. He's very young and only played in Europe. If he had come in and already progressed to starting PG or close to it it would it been a massive fail for scouts everywhere. I think they are content to let him work out some kinks in practice.

    Oúc!

Yeah that's sexist. I cry listening to storycorps.
