    So maybe the collection of 2 guards and backup up pgs can't actually duplicate Trae's productivity? Amazing. Really miss Trae. Gonna take some huge individual performances to win this game.

    Trae has flaws and is far from a perfect player, but @benhillboy isn't being rational with his opinion. The fact that he thinks a collection of 2 guards and backup pgs can replicate the productivy of Trae is evidence enough that he doesn't know what he's talking about. He's entitled to his opinion but no one has to actually give him any credence or take him seriously. I honestly thought he was just trolling but now I know he just hates Trae for whatever reason. I've always said if you can't acknowledge the attributes of a player while being critical I have no interest in your opinion. Trae is a top 25 player in the NBA and Benny acts like hes Acie Law. Nah.....no interest in that.

    Honest question since you are a Mod. Why are a couple of particular posters allowed to constantly bring up what others say that they disagree with (especially doing so in a passive aggressive manner), but when others bring up the things he or they say that end up looking foolish, we get chastised by mods?

    You could have saved the time and just said, "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA> I HATE TRAE>" LOL I hope you are truly miserable for the next decade watching Trae lead the Hawks in the playoffs.

    The Hawks are a better TEAM under Nate than they ever were under LP precisely because Nate runs an actual system instead of just letting Trae go crazy every night. The team is less dependent on Trae which is why they can now have a chance to win if Trae plays poorly or even if he doesn't play at all. Now, none of that means they don't need Trae or are better off without him. They do and they aren't. They have been an ELITE team with Trae and Nate. They are likely just a good team without Trae. Good enough to beat the Heat and some other bad teams, but I doubt they win a playoff series without Trae.

    Don't care what the NBA says.. ..Nate IS the COTY. Wow. So impressive. Heat were nearly full strength and Hawks without 2 best players. Win by 15. Good grief.

    To that point..... Hawks were -18 over the last 18 minutes of regulation and OT after Trae left, being outscored 50-32 in that span. Now with that said, I don't want to turn this into a bash Bogie thing. He's been a HUGE asset and will continue to be. But no one in their right mind would think the team is better off with Bogie than Trae leading them.

    My translation is that he's trying REALLY hard to get into a pissing match about Trae. First he says Trae is nothing more than a role player but that was so over the top unbelievable that everyone knew it was just a troll. Now he dials it back and just focuses on Clint and others while not really addressing Trae except at the end, subtly adding in the implication that Trae is soft. I'm figuring there's enough believable stuff in this troll attempt that he'll get a few folks defending Trae and that will satisfy whatever weird Trae fetish he has. Not sure why he needs to disparage Trae, but one thing I am confident of, he's not serious about it. If he was, he would be talking about the legitimate shortcomings of Trae rather than just making wild inflammatory claims that have no basis in reality.

    This take seems really........obtuse. Is that the right word? I'm not sure, but you can't just ignore the circumstances of this game and say the outcomes are the same so the games must have been lost in the same fashion. That's unreasonable. The Hawks led comfortably this game right up until Trae went down. That wasn't the case in either of the two previous losses where LP was at the helm. With Nate, they were the better team until their leader went down and they still forced OT. If anything this was a role reversal of the second Knicks games where they led comfortably all game with the Hawks just making runs to get back in it only to see the Knicks pull away late. That's what was happening last night until Trae got hurt.

    So I'm guessing the xray rules out a fracture which is good but the MRI will tell us how severe the sprain is.

    Same. So pissed off right now. Hawks had everything right there to put a lock on the 4 seed. Now they gonna have to fight - likely without their superstar - just to avoid the play in tourny.

    This game was over the minute Trae went down. Valiant effort at the end of regulation to tie it, but just gotta hope Trae isn't serious.

    I wish I had any confidence at all that we can pull this out. Without Trae I'm just waiting for it to all fall apart.
