I was thinking the cap hit would be less for Howard if traded, something like Horford. Ie paying horford 25 million, but only having 18 count against the cap. I didn't know a) if that benefit carried on to future years and b) if so, does Howard qualify if traded. I have no clue if Houston had him for long enough or what ever the requirements are for that to be the case.

Would a SnT have cap implications for the following year as well, or just this year?

From my understanding, we would not have the cap space to take a guy like Calderon back. Too much $.

Anna, I appreciate the play your brother gave the Hawks fans. All the 13 point 7 rebound seasons he gave us (when he actually played). The elevated play when it matters most (playoffs). The tough interior play we would expect from a center. The ability to box out and get a rebound (Way to go Tristan). But most of all, I want to thank him for not hand cuffing my favorite team to a bs contract for a guy who didn't show up when it mattered most. If he doesn't want to handle it like a professional, then don't expect fans to treat him as such. Tfoh.

My thoughts exactly. Consistently talked about being out of position,and we finally bring in a true center, only to have him bolt to play out of position again? Sounds like someone got nervous about losing that out of position excuse.

My biggest worry about shredder is his J. If he can get that ft pull up consistently off the PnR and the teams have to keep with him to keep him honest, I guarentee that the howard / Shro duo will be ridiculous.

So who could we get to play the 2/3 spot that would not be overpaid this offseason. Yeah. Baze is overpaid. Everyone is We got Baze for less than Deng. And go check the evan turner contract just for the hell of it.

Yeah, you are correct. None of those pieces are worth Paul. But it gives us much more financial flexibility, younger pieces, and if Paul walks away for nothing in a year, which he will, then what? Other teams are going to see milap forwhat he is at this point. A 1 year rental that will give you all star production. There is no way we get full value of that. We have been rumored for Sap with PHX and Philly for Teague. What about a 3 way deal that fills a handful of teams needs. PHX: Millsap PHIL: Bledsoe ATL: covington, len, Carl landry, PHX 1 We can still unload splitter / Thabo and make a bigger splash for a guy like Deng cap wise, i believe. Shro / Jack? / patterson Baze / Korver / THJr / bembry Deng / RoCo / Prince Horford / Landry / moose Howard / Len / Tavares Very versatile, good shooters, solid depth, and bringing in some younger talent to mix with the old.

Why would Utah want Sap with favors and gobert? The only piece I'd he interested in would be Hayward or hood out of utah...that package blows.

I'm going all in. I want to offer Sap for as many young assets with high upside to whoever wants him as possible. From PHX, give me one of booker or bender. Throw in bledsoe, Len, warren, draft picks. Just anything young with potential and hopefully use that to get butler out of Chicago. Obviously we'd still have to unload some players for the cap to work, but going from Sap to butler would save about 3 mil itself. I bet a package of Bledsoe / Warren / Len and 2 or 3 first round draft picks would get their attention.

So I just decided to do the smart thing and look up Brewers shooting %. So, yeah. I have no idea where I got that idea. I'll see myself out and maybe think things through next time. Lol
