Preseason stats are valuable because it gives the coach something to evaluate for his initial roles and rotation to start the season..If we are legitimately trying to make the playoffs we need to find our best 10 guys and establish roles for our starters and 2nd unit. Based off the preseason If I was the coach it would be hard for me to start 2 rookies on opening night..Everybody loves Cam and I do as well but he should not play more than 15 minutes per game at max this point..And when he plays he should take a Ben Simmons approach and just slash to the basket..Cam's jumper is light years behind Hunter's..Cam's misses have been off very badly, side of the backboard, airballs..He should only shoot 3's in College Park games for now.. I think we got to start Kevin Huerter game 1 with no preseason reps..A young team need to get off to a good start and not fall a bunch of games under .500..2 Rookies starting will immediately throw us behind in the standings..

Personally, I would love to keep Schröder.. He is a fiery competitor and a proven commodity..I think it would be a huge mistake by Travis to completely destroy the nucleus of this team.. You need guys who have had a taste of winning and been a part of a winning culture..I would like to just continue to add pieces to our already solid group..Schröder, Collins, Prince and hard working vets like Baze, Dedmon is a solid core.. This definitely doesn't have to be the long rebuild that the media is portraying it to be..We luckily added All star Caliber talent in last year draft in Collins.. If we nail our pick this year with another future All-star, I see no reason why we can't compete for the 8th spot as soon as next season with the grand opening of newly renovated arena.

I'm very happy with Prince production of late..Still a little skeptical but I think that he might have realized what his nba strength is and it seems to be outside shooting..His success of late has been tied in with an increase in 3 point attempts..He's jackin 10 or more 3 attempts every game now.. I Think the kid realized 3 point shooting is his biggest strength..He is hunting 3 point attempts now, and making them at a high clip..Some of the 3's are from very deep like Curry..As a result the coach is now using him in a Korver esq manner..I been impressed with his ability to come off curls and shoot on the move too..He was always solid as a catch and shoot guy but if his shot is really this pure he could average 17 to 20 ppg next season easily..Can he sustain this level of play??

Yeah, I think I would pass on Stanley as well..I went back and looked at some highlight tapes of him and he doesn't play very athletic..He is like a smaller worst shooting version of Taurean..I thought he was more athletic than he has shown coming out of Arizona.. But I would pawn the latest of those 3 first rounders to take a look at him..Prince need someone to push him.. Oan Deandre Bembry was a mistake as well..its time to move on..

What about the previous seasons..Bud could fix him..He still have more Potential than Taurean Prince..It would also help in the tanking department..Get Stanley include marco or Bellineli with Taurean to get Detroit to add a 1st..Get Stan and give him the green light and he would develop into a better player than TP in the long run..

TP is a good player but I just feel like he doesn't have that much potential..His jump shot is pretty good but his lack of athletic ability is starting to show when he attack the basket he doesn't have the lift to make him more than an average starter..I haven't looked at the advanced numbers but I think the hawks should dump TP for a broken Stanley Johnson...

We are clearly tanking because 18 minutes for Collins the other night against Miami was rediculous! Any coach in America could have saw that kid's impact on the game..smh I have a problem with stagnating a players development to purposely lose a game!

Erasan would be better served as a more featured reserve..Yeah he draws a few charges but he doesn't protect the rim and the spacing that he so call provide is overrated with his Slow release allowing defenders to close out on him too easily.. With the second unit maybe he would have the ball more in areas where he can create some offense..Watching him jus standing on the perimeter has been disgusting because defenders are still sagging off him in help defense and getting back in time before he catches and releases that slow shot..We are basically playing 4 on 5 with him on the floor..He is playing as a more older type of player than his age states as the rumors have suggested..frfr..smh That man has been ineffective all preaseason and this ineffectiveness has continued in to the regular season..This sample size of games is large enough to help us understand that Ersan isn't the answer long term at the 4 and isn't a good fit for the starting lineup.. Its time to start John Collins and allow Dedmon to masquerade as the spacer with Collins playing inside..Collins brings another dynamic with the pressure he puts on the rim in pick in roll..The threat of him rolling will also open up things for Schröder if Schröder would put forth a concentrated effort in gettin others involved.. Collins has shown nimble feet on switches with the pick and roll which was a concern that I think has been alleviated..I think rim protection is more valuable than Ersan's charge drawing..Solid rim protection not only is blocking shots but contesting and altering them as well..Which is another reason why Collins is more valuable than illysova.. Nah, the question is what the hell Bud is doing?! The hawks ran zero pick and rolls in the preseason which was in line with what the article in the Ajc article stated the hawks offensive philosophy would be this season.. If this is the case its pretty spooky and is an approach that is too predictable..I wish they posted Dwight more last year but empathize with Bud cause Howard couldn't make free throws.. No posts does create a faster pace but the results this preseason was mixed..So I don't know trust the process I guess..
