in all fairness, the refs don't respect him at all and call phantom travels and fouls. He posts up and begs for the ball and can't get it. He does foul a lot but that's part of why we put him out there.

I like the guy.

of course, like the article said, he started basketball at age 16, he has lots of room to improve. I think he could become a zaza type player w/ better defense.

Batista is one of my favorite Hawks

Tonight Melvin Ely was getting the ball down in the post and scoring on Al on almost every play, then Batista comes in and Ely cant even get the ball. Batista comes out with 4 fouls and AL comes back in and Ely immediately scores.

He's hardly played at all so his stat line is not going to be impressive. We need someone to be physical. I'd be more concerned if he had 3 rebounds and 0 fouls.

I guarantee that the opposing players hate to see him on the floor and that's what we need from him.

Maybe its just me but if he's speaking in Spanish why would they translate it to: 'I'm not a star or nothing'?
