Blunt91
Is it just me or does it seem Salim rushes every 3pointshot he takes? Yeah he might have a quick trigger but I feel he would be more consistent if he took his time and followed through his shot. As soon as he touches the ball it is going up in the air, with not a whole lot of follow through on the spin. He is not the Sniper but more like Baby Antoine Walker. He keeps on taking shots despite missing half of them.
dalamchops
i think it's more of his own technique. He's always took his shot like that, that's what makes him so dangerous. To be able to such a quick shot anywhere anytime.
TheNorthCydeRises
Don't worry about Sniper. He'll be just fine. Most rookie guards struggle mightily with their shooting when they first come into the league. McCants - 44% Paul - 43% Salim - 42% Jasikevicus - 41% ( and he's the guy that killed Team USA in the Olympics ) Jarrett Jack - 41% D. Williams - 39% Felton - 39% N. Robinson - 39% Luther Head - 38% Salim will probably be one of those career 42% shooters from the field, that knocks down 37% - 40% of his 3 pointers. There have been a lot of guys in this league who have shot like that, and become very good players.
ATLJA316
yeah dude, just watch ESPN Classics this week, they've been showing several Arizona games, and it's reminded me of just why i loved that guy. he knows what he's doing, and one day he'll come into his own. If you are missing half your shots from the guard position in the NBA, you are one of the very best in the league. The vast majority of guards a significantly worse than 50% (as is Salim). He is far from Antoine Walker as a 3pt shooter and will be just fine.
Dragitoff
Shooting a basketball is just like a pitcher throwing a pitch, or a golf swing, or a QB throwing a pass. It's all about repetition. Salim's got a quick release (good thing since he's much shorter than alot of the people guarding him) and while setting himself might make him more accurate, it could also have the reverse effect on him since it's different than his normal style. JJ is more of a shooter that will knock down most of his shots if he has an open look or time to set himself, while Salim is a guy who can shoot while moving.
