Tmac carries the Magic 82 games per yr. His averages always look good. Kobe carries the lakers for 2 games and everybody's ready to throw a party.

You would have to put the Lakers in the leastern conference....In that case I say yes(assuming Hill

doesn't play for Orlando)the Lakers could make the

The Lakers Need Shaq to compete with Western Conference teams.... Duncan, KG, Webber, etc.

The East is geared towards Gaurd Play.

Iverson, Tmac, Pierce, Vince, Stackhouse, Davis, Kidd....

If You put the Lakers without Shaq in the East, there is really no advantage for them. They don't have a dominant PF and I don't think they could deal with the POUNDING that Eastern teams give out.

That's the other thing. East teams are not finease teams. Most of the East teams bring Hard Hats and like to bang. That's why the East was led by Detroit, NJ, Boston, and Charlotte last yr. These are not finease teams. Well, Boston may be... BUt Charlotte, Det, NJ are all teams with Strong defenses.. Ranked 5, 6, and 7 in the league. The Eastern teams dominate the top 10 defenses... Because in the East, the objective is to slow the game down... Play Half Court Sets, and be PHYSICAL.

You put LAL in that environment and without Shaq, they will crumble. Shaq is the reason that LAL can play against East Coasters successfully.

Kobe had ONE bad game and you were using it as evidence that he wasn't as good as T Mac or Pierce and now that he posts back to back triple doubles while leading his team to wins against two probable playoff teams, you say "2 games does not a season make." Come on D! Even you have to give him credit! He's a heck of a player.

Look at the Lakers overall statistics. Other than Devean George, who has done ANYTHING for them besides Kobe? Horry, Walker and Fisher have been pathetic and the rest of their players are very inexperienced.

I think the Lakers, Kings, Spurs and the Mavericks are the 4 best teams and then the Blazers, Sonics, Clippers, T'wolves and Rockets will battle for the last 4 slots.

As for the Clips having problems with GS and CLE, BOS and NO had problems with CHI but I don't think CHI is going to finish ahead of either of those teams in the standings. Do you?
