Premium Member Diesel Posted November 17, 2002 Premium Member Report Share Posted November 17, 2002 Sad to say but this may be the yr of the EC. I believe that the East is much more improved than the West. You have: 1. Atlanta 2. Indy 3. Washington 4. Orlando 5. Milwaukee All playing much better than Last yr. Also right now, Philly and Boston are early surprises. Even Chicago and Cleveland play inspired ball some games. So the real catch will be who will make the playoffs. For as good as we have gotten, it still will be a struggle to make it in. It's going to be fun to watch.
Gray Mule
The nice thing about the Eastern Teams being better, they still have to play each other and will not run away and hide, so you don't have to win as many games to be in the mix. Even the teams that are on the bottom can rise up on any given night and bite the top teams. This can make for a very tight and interesting race and I believe that our Hawks will be right in the middle of it all.
Guest Walter
We have injuries or the threat of injuries to concern us and an unproven coach, Indy has so much talent that upon the return of Croshere and Miller they will likely have problems with their rotation...also a poor coach, Washington?...injury to MJ and Pg play...maybe Brown is doing the best that can be expected of him and as the season wears on he won't do so well, Orlando has Hill's ankle and no inside game, Milwaulkee?...who knows? Maybe change is good. The EC does look better as was projected, however, it is early to say that the difference will hold. Regardless, I like our playoff chances.
