Turns out, our new P.G. played for our new coach in

the summer league, so at least, he was known by

someone. I thought he played an excellent 1st game.

Where did this defense come from?? They certainly

didn't just suddenly learn it. And the intensity!!

Hawks still went to sleep, offensively, in the 4th qtr.

Guess we can't expect everything to suddenly change.

Exciting game. Great to win one !!!

some keys, imo to this victory.

Atlanta actually got more FGA than their opponents. 75 for ATL, 70 for San Antonio. Atlanta was 34-75 and had 20 assists. San Antonio was 31-70 and had only 10 assists....Atlanta was moving the ball better, controlled the ball, controlled the boards vs an excellent rebounding team (37-36) and turned it into more FGA than the opponents. That had been a main reason we were losing games...turnovers and opponents second chance opportunities were giving them extra chances to score points.

If we can cut that out, we're going to win lots of games. Of course thats not the only thing that we can do to help us win. That is what is scary. This team can be even better than this. Buckle up, I think Stotts is going to take us for a nice ride Hawks fans.

We beat the SPURS by playing better than them in almost every statistical measure. The SPURS is a good team too and to beat them in our first game with STOTTS is amazing.

we have an easier task with Washington... hopefully we dont take them lightly

These are teams that will test us. I think San Antonio's methodic style kind of plays to our strengths. We have a team built for a half court type game.

However, our next few games

Miami (2)

Detroit

NJ

These are tough important games. I think those Miami games will be hard games. I know Miami's record, but they have some good chemistry recently. I think we should dominate Detroit And NJ should be the most fun game of the season.

scoring theat at the guard position helped.People
