Thanks, everyone for your help in this project. We

have discussed every player from top to bottom and

there has been positive feedback on every one of them.

No fighting, no namecalling or none of that crazy stuff.

I said every player. Not quiet. The final one is our

starting center. He's been around for a few years in

the N.B.A. but had very little playing time until he

became a Hawk. He sure got the minutes last season.

ZAZA PACHULIA - CENTER

We all watched this young man grow last year. He is

still quiet young and has room for improvement. I have

to believe that he will be better this year than he was

last season.

Like almost every Hawk on our roster, he has shown some

good improvement all ready. Has a nice touch on the

ball. Will fight inside for rebounds. Not the

monster inside presence that we could use sometimes and

seldom goes up and jams the ball back in, but still

get his points. He's learned how to draw the foul and

will hit a good % of his free throws.

Last season, one of the reasons that he was not more

aggressive could have been because Hawks couldn't affore

for him to get in foul trouble, so he had to hang back.

With our new additions in the off season, this could

mean that he can be more aggressive, play less but

harder minutes and make a real difference.

This brings this project to an end. Thanks everyone.

As we finish discussing Zaza, the pre-season is upon

us and we can turn our attention to the action that

we've been looking foreward to all summer.

GO HAWKS !!!!!!!

I'm not sure if Zaza's numbers will improve this season or not, but I think the addition of Lo Wright is going to help him be more efficient and effective. Hopefully he will be able to go full tilt and not hold anything back every game, without having to worry about foul trouble, wear & tear, exhaustion, etc. There are also a lot of new combos we can try down low together at the 4/5 spots.

The one thing we do know about Zaza is that he is a bruiser! He is not afraid of contact and is a bonified inside presence. If he refines his inside moves as well as his jump shot, he will be a top 5-10 center in this league next year.

My biggest critisims of Z is that he flops too much looking for a phantom call. I can't stand any guy that does that. Z just needs to play his game and let the refs do their job. I understand at times it gets to players, but complaining really isn't going to do anything for you. Flopping is even worse. This isn't Euro Football, its the NBA flopping won't work.

His second problem is that he misses too many inside shots.

End of Rant.

other than those two issues, I really like Z. He's my daughter's favorite player on the Hawks. He's a good hustle player and can cause problems for other centers. I think his play on the defensive end will improve dramatically this year. Why? Because he has a back up! Last year he had to stay out of foul trouble because management didn't get him a back-up that could play 20 minutes a game. Hence, Z had to layoff to keep out of trouble. Now we have Shellhead and Wright to help out. I predict a 14/9 year.

We needed a veteran back up with a mean streak last season to help Z and his game might be a little further along the line to improve upon. Some times he would be tough and other times going to into that silly flopping that even the TV commentators would laugh at it. Sometimes he would keep Steve Smith in stitches. Lets get more serious. I expect 14 and 8 from him.
