drzachary
I've been reading a great book called Loose Balls by Terry Pluto. It's the story of the ABA, and there are some nice bits about BK in it. You learn that his nickname was "TWA," which stood for "Teeny-Weeny Afro," because he could never seem to grow a full one. TexasPete
I read that book a long time ago and it is a great book. I grew up in the 70s and remember those ABA days and the characters. GREAT BOOK! BTW, I grew up in Indiana and remember BK well. He could fill it up baby. If only he could fill our roster up with a C and PG... bootsybug
in knight's second season in the aba (1976), he averaged over 28 points, over 10 rebounds, and almost 4 assists on 50% shooting. he was a really great player back on those days. basketball reference cites his nickname as "mooney." http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/k/knighbi01.html

I would love for us to have one or two of these "just scorers" right now....
