Premium Member Diesel Posted February 4, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 4, 2003 First off. Let me state... That JT will never be resigned if we don't drop some salary. Second. Consider this trade... Shareef/Hendu/CC to Denver. Howard/Harvey/1st to Atlanta. The deal is this. Denver will not attract, Duncan or Oneal so Shareef is probably the best PF that they can get with the money they have. That would be a good lineup... Hilario/Shareef/White/Tskitsville/etc. For us... We get rid of CC/Hendu's contract and we get an ending Contract. Lastly, Howard is not as good as the Money he's getting, but his numbers are not far off Reef's. I think we can get Howard, then be first in line to resign him next yr for LESS money (maybe 11 million or something. Having Lost Hendu's and CC's contract, we'd have about 10 million-12million dollars + saved. We'd be able to sign JT and sign the draft pick from Denver.... Lastly, Harvey is an up and coming PF. He's not great but he's a cheaper BU than Hendu. Why Not?
kelston827
Just to take on $18M in PF from us, plus give up his top 10 draft pick. That deal makes absolutely no sense for Denver, especially considering their top young talent (Hilario) also plays PF.
Premium Member Diesel Posted February 4, 2003 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted February 4, 2003 Not Oneal. Not Duncan. Not Kidd. The most that they can hope for is that Howard Resigns and that they can get one of these 2nd tier gaurds like Crawford to sign up at more than their worth. 2ndly, It doesn't have to be their #1. They have a first from Detroit if I'm not mistaken. So in the end, they get an older Howard and an overpaid Crawford or Bender?? Nene has been playing C. I think he stays there.
