Interesting take from Memphis Sports Talk Show

They had a caller today saying that the Grizzlies were 1-3 in deals they have made over the past two years.

Jeff Weinberger and the gang defend the Gooden for Miller trade, saying it is too early to tell anything definite from that deal while saying that the Nick Anderson for Wesley Person deal was a fantastic trade. They are the only Jerry West deals the Grizzlies have made.

What was interesting was their take on trading Shareef Abdur-Rahim for Pau Gasol. Weinberger states that Jerry West WOULD NOT have made that deal, while stating that Jerry wouldn't have made that Mike Bibby for Jason Williams deal.

The guy that made those deals is our very own Billy Knight.

I think SAR/Tinsley for Gasol/LO/Knight was a fair deal. Everyone got what they needed.

However, the draft this year might yield a good player like....

Josh Howard/Jarvis Hayes in the mid rounds where the Pacer Pick will fall.
