Plainview1981
I heard he might not get much playing time in Houston and probably will asked to be traded or released. Should the Hawks take a shot at him? I'd say yes because the team needs a second guy that can actually get his own shot.

Johnnybravo4
I would love him as the backup 2 better than Mario West. Or even better keep West and designate Solo to the NBDL

OGRat
I wonder that his status on team is due to his health. I would avoid him bc he needs to dominate the ball to be effective. Our system does not lend well to that type of player.
Nicholasp27
mario west brings the intangibles that HELP the entire team francis brings the intangibles that HURT the entire team also, we already have chill to be backup 2/3 we don't have room for any other players, unless it's a healthy pg

tmac13
Not debating Francis positives and negatives but is there any doubt he could help a team more than Salim if he came at the minimum?

exodus
Francis Out Of Rotation Due To Being Out-Of-Shape October 29, 2007 - 1:41 pm Houston Chronicle - After not playing much last year with the Knicks (44 games), and knowing the Rockets were overstocked at point guard, Steve Francis should have come to camp prepared to compete for playing time. Instead, he came to camp looking to play his way into shape. Adelman hasn't allowed him to play enough for that to happen. "He's not the player that he once was, because he's slowed down, he's aged," said Tracy McGrady, who has two years more NBA experience than Francis. "He still can play, despite him slowing down," said McGrady. "He's a smart basketball player. He's a very versatile basketball player. He knows how to play this game. "Without a doubt, he will help us out."

However good he is he somehow harms his team more than he helps them. In fact, the likes of Acie Law and Mario West, albeit different talent levels than each other, might just be the anti-Francis (or anti-Salim), more valuable to the team than their talent would indictate.
