I think Smoove has a fear of dunking on people.

Seriously. He's very tentative in traffic. SHouldn't be, but he is. I think he's afraid of hurting himself... Where's John Smoltz's Hypnotis??

Maybe it is a mental issue from the sports hernia surgery last year? Or maybe the doctor told him to find ways to protect his body and slamming ferociously several times a game is not worth the risk of injury. I think it's funny how the reality of his "non-dunking" has not caught up with his reputation yet. I bet fans who come to see him in road games are ticked off though, when he does those "baby dunks" on break-aways.

Last season there were a couple of games where he was being "seriously" undercut on dunks maybe by direction from the opposing coach or his defender not wanting to be posterized.

Damn Diesel I was thinking the samething but I wasn't sure if it was just me.

Smith has had at LEAST 4 sick dunks in traffic this year. I agree he was more timid early in the season, but in the past few games he's been going for the dunk.
