Swatguy
Let's pretend. Pretend BK sucured Bibby on January 1st. What would the record be? At Jan. 1, we were 15-13. Today we are 35-40. Bibby come over after the All-Star game, but I consider the Bibby era began after the west-coast swing after the All-Star game (since then our record has been 12-8). So I believe (in my let's pretend mind), if we had obtained Bibby on Jan.1, our current record would be, 41-34 at least. On the upper we coulda been 44-31. With this logic we are a top 4 team in the east, right now. The Bibby factor means we can compete with any team in the league, right now. Go tell it. pimp
around, on the floor. Anyone remember about what game Bibby's heel got better, and he stopped limping??
Premium Member hawkman Posted April 4, 2008 Premium Member Report Share Posted April 4, 2008 Once Bibby got himself together, we became a different team. We have one of the best backcourts in the NBA now and a pretty strong frontcourt. We're still a bit young though.
FrankWhite
I think the Hawks would be no worse than 6th in the East, most probably 5th and possibly 4th in that scenario. If we had Bibby from the start of the year, we would've given Orlando a run for their money for the Southeast. As it stands, we might steal a game or two from Boston in the first round. Then we have to hope for a new veteran coach, possibly a new GM, a solution to the ownership mess, locking up Smith, locking up or trading Childress, a solid FA or trade acquisition, and a strong developmental offseason for Marvin, Horf and Law, and I think this is a solid playoff team next year, and a team that can make a serious run the year after.
