He hasn't signed yet so he hasn't agreed to it. We'll see if pen meets paper tomorrow.

Oh dont get that confused Bucher is saying he hasnt agreed to terms yet, we all know he cant sign it yet.

I thought the FA signing period started tonight at midnight. Bibby verbally agreed to terms, but hasn't signed yet b/c of the legalities, right?

Verbal agreements about NBA player contracts aren't binding. A deal is only final when it is signed which is why i have been trying to tell people not to jump the gun and assume a deal is done.

Hedo had a verbal agreement with Portland not long ago.

Nope !

Especially after the Raptors did the same thing to them with Hedo Turkelough. (Sp?)

It was definately Bibby's agent that leaked the terms of the deal.............Sund is smarter then that.

Let see trust the guy who covers the Hawks for a living or trust a guy who make up BS for a living. Trust Sekou folks and that this deal is done.

Just read the link for the heck of it. Now it said the deal is complete. Good grief Bucher sucks at reporting any factual news.

Bibby is too classy of a guy to pull that low-rent Carlos Boozer/Hedo junk. No doubt in my mind Bibby signs tomorrow.

Bibby's agent, David Falk, said Tuesday he has reached an "oral understanding" that will allow the Hawks to retain the point guard who has led the team to two straight playoff appearances.

"We've reached an agreement in principle that hopefully will be announced very soon," Falk said.

Falk said the agreement is a good fit for both parties. Falk said Bibby has enjoyed his time with Atlanta coach Mike Woodson, who has leaned on the 11-year veteran to lead a young team.

"It has been a very good environment for Mike," Falk said. "He enjoys playing for Coach Woodson, who has allowed him to be a coach on the floor."

Bibby made $14.9 million this season.

Glad to hear from Bibby's agent that Bibby has enjoyed his time in Atlanta and that he likes playing for Woody. Getting the endorsement of a vet like Bibby can only help if we are trying to woo veteran FAs.
