Cheapness is a relative term. In the case of the ASG it applies. The Hawks had by far the lowest payroll of any team in the final 8. Second, Woodson had a small contract. Drew the smallest. They have the fewest scouts. The ASG purged the operations office a few years ago. I wouldn't be surprised to find they have draconian rules for ordering supplies.

Point is all of thier moves are cheaper than the competion. Ergo: they are cheap.

Hopefully they can sell the hockey side and invest more in Hawks. As bad as the ASG is with the Hawks they are worse with the Thrashers
