For me i'm looking for the following

- Does our offense look better

- Players do not stand in one spot when Joe has the ball in his hands (i.e marvin standing around the in the corner of the 3 point line even when hes clearly not a threat from there)

- No more Iso-Joe (once in a while is fine)

- Ball movement

-JC2

-Teagues ability to run the point

-Defense (do we still switch?)

For the RedBirds...

* Do our starters set the tone right away, against a below-average team playing its second night of back-to-backs on the road?

* How well our bigs rebound against Gasol, Zach, and "Deer-in-the-Headlights" Thabeet

* Joe moving without the ball in the new offensive schemes

* Marvin looking for the ball (please?) in the new offensive schemes

* Smoove's positioning on the floor in the new offensive schemes

* Bibby with less switching help on defense

* Jeff getting around defenders and making sensible decisions

* Mo and J-Pow vs. Sam Young and Darrell Arthur

* CrawSonny doing anything highlight-worthy

* Zaza being Zaza

For the BlueBears...

* How well Mayo and Conley work together in the backcourt

* Have OJ and Rudy improved defensively at all?

* How rusty is Henry after the contract squabbles?

* With OJ back at SG, does Tony Allen have, like, a role?

* Acie's Revenge!!!

lol @ a Griz blogger's Acie review from last night's Pacer game (1-6 in a reserve role):

Acie Law, heaven help us all, even sorta looks like Marcus Williams (from my perch in the terrace level, anyway). No outside shot whatsoever. He did show some hustle, and he has some size, but that's about it. At least he likely thinks "drive and dish" has to do with basketball, whereas Marcus Williams' thoughts likely turned to a combo meal at Sonic upon hearing that phrase. From a furtive first glance at him in a Grizz uni, and Tony Allen's decidedly un-Meadowlarkish ball handling, and Greivis Vasquez' thus-far invisibility, it looks like the Grizzlies will, once again, be weaker than a room-temp Keystone LIght at backup PG.

I am looking forward to learning a bit about how we are going to run these new systems on offense and defense this year. As far as individual players, I am most interested in seeing how much Teague has improved. We are doomed it we have to rely too heavily on Mike Bibby this year, IMO.
