Sink or Swim: Where is Jeff Teague against the Hornets?

I like what LD is doing for the most part but don't understand not playing Teague.

There again I still don't understand not playing more physical ball. We are sooooft. HIt somebody please.

Everyone seems excited about Marvin and AJC makes a comment that he was 'unstoppable'. Sure he put up some numbers but still looked bad to me. Where was he when we needed him? His defense didn't look that good. Its just better than some of the other options.

Guys with sore backs scare me. I think the time to trade Jamal is fast approaching. We just have to make sure we get someone who can score back.

Smoove is my favorite player but he has to do better than that egg he layed last night. At least he used his fouls. LD needs to get control of him quickly.

We have no bench.

I'm not certain that the problem is if Sund and Drew are on the same page. The problem is Drew and Gearon Jr. The Crawford quote that indicates the front office (Gearon) overvalues the "core" too much is particularly telling. Sund showed a willingness to move players both in Seattle and early on with the Hawks, but his hands seem tied by ownership. I really think Gearon is the puppet master here. Until Gearon can be convinced that the current group is not going anywhere, we're stuck with the "core".

Drew not playing Teague might be his way of forcing Gearon to get off the pot and do something about the roster now instead of later. Just speculation, but his not playing v. the Hornets was just strange.

I can see where Gearon or our 8 headed ownership might be the problem with parting with our "core" players, but I have a hard time believing Teague is a "core" player or even MORE OF a "core" player than Crawford.

We do seem to have the worst of both worlds in terms of ownership. The inability and/or unwillingness to PERSONALLY stay out of the way with a pocket book that STAYS in the way.

I was wondering about Teague too. Also where is Powell? I understand about JC2, he's not ready. The most troubling thing for me is the continued regression by Josh. He was killing the team last night with those jumpers. Somebody needs to put a foot in his *ss. Bring him off the bench for a game or two and prove a point to him.

Teague should be starting and Bibby should be our 3point specialist off the bench PERIOD! Im so sick of our shitty *ss defense when bibbys out there trying to hide while we switch and get killed every time down the court. Teague needs to play with the starters (shooters) and not ball hog crawford. bibby and crawford would be great off the bench to give us some scoring while the starters rest. i cant beleive the coaching staff has not figured this out yet.

This should be our depth chart and brief comments about the roles. We need this to play to our potential!!!!

Teague (defense and energy--what we lack at the start of gms and ends)

Johnson (should do everything, score ,pass, defend, should average 6-9 assists a gm in this offense)

Williams (hit those mids and threes and drive the basket-play defense)

Smith (rebound and defense and driving to lane for pass outs)

Horford (can be a star f everyone does there job !)

Bibby ( huge 3 pt threat for crawford isos)

Crawford (big time scoring off the bench)

Wilkens (defense while bibby and crawford suck at it)

Powell (Rebounding and easy mids)

Pachulia (rebounding rebounding rebounding stop shooting)

Collins (needed for big lineups and inside defense)

Evans (best 12th man in nba garbage otherwise)
