I think we're naive if we think it doesn't. Boosters will get players whatever they need.

Moderators lethalweapon3 Posted March 31, 2011 Moderators Report Share Posted March 31, 2011 Show was alright, but c'mon, could they find any less popular/reputable people to discuss it? Bryant Gumbel? Jason Whitlock?? Rich Rodriguez??? Billy Packer came across as a total schill. And all these accusations won't go anywhere until there's someone without obvious axes to grind or potential for monetary gain issuing them. No active NFL or NBA veteran players wish to share their tales? And how is Mary Carillo going to let someone tell her a coach handed him an envelope stuffed with booster cash and not name the coach? There is a need for reforms in the money-making D-I collegiate athletic programs, but Home Box Office was clearly neither well equipped nor prepared to discuss them. ~lw3
