Premium Member Jody23 Posted December 28, 2011 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 28, 2011 Just a quick thought. Is there a possibility the Hawks use Hinrick (ending contract) and a player or two (Marvin or Za Za) to bring back another substantial piece to further improve themselves during the stretch run? Gearon stated that if they could find a piece that puts them over the top, they would pay the tax. In the event they don't get Howard, an alternate move that doesn't involve them gutting the roster could help.
Flight
I think we could make a good run at Bynum or Gasol if we really wanted them

I was just thinking they might use assets outside of their top four players to add another significant piece. At the least, it could make the team stronger and perhaps make the ATL a more attractive destination.
Flight
But what player could we target that would seriously improve us?
EazyRoc
Truth be told I don't think Howard is as interested in winning a championship as he is with building his brand.

frosgrim
Gasol would be a nice addition, but he's getting up there in years. I would stay away from Bynum given his injury history. Let's also see how well Marvin keeps ballin' at the halfway point: 14+, and 6+ from your SF ain't nothing to sneeze at given what the other guys on the team should be putting up.
