Can't Hawks Be Happy, WTF

I know this forum is to strike up conversations about the Hawks on all avenues, however it seems like there are more and more threads that just are angry and full of hate. The threads I'm talking more about are the ones about specific players. Not so much about the team threads. It's frustrating to me that these player threads seem to dog the team than enjoy what they are doing on the court. There are threads constantly about Josh, Al, JJ or the rest of the team. Usually most of them are on the first three mentioned. We get wins and it seems like its a loss when I come onto this site. JJ plays well down the stretch and all I read is how he is just average and not worth the money we pay him. You almost think the guy sucks after reading these threads. On the other extreme we win and the only reason we won was because of JJ. Ignoring the other contributions we got from the other players on the team. The same goes for Josh. Never has a player been more scrutinized of his play then him on this site. Yes, I have been critical of his shot selection and his other warts. However, I appreciate what he does for the team and he will be sorely missed if traded. I have learned to accept his flaws and roll with it. The same goes with Al, JJ, and other players on this team. I have news for everyone that I learned from an early age of playing sports you win as a team and lose as a team. I love the Hawks! Players will come and go, but the one thing that will remain for me is that I will still love the Hawks. I think this could be said for most of you. I think sometimes we forget that its about the Hawks and not the players. We have been on a nice little run of late. Yes, we haven't blown out these below average teams. It might be due all the games in a short amount of days, injuries, etc. Yet the team is winning we should remember that fact. I'm telling everyone its okay to be happy that JJ has been hitting clutch shots of late, even though he may not be worth all the money he is being paid. Be excited to watch Josh fill up every statistical category, even though he may not be making the right play or shot during the game. Appreciate the hustle and physical play Zaza brings, even if he misses a layup. JT is young and will flash from game to game enjoy and accept it. You get how I'm going with this topic.I for one am happy when we win and I'm not going to rain on the parade on individual player performances after a win. I may say we need to step up against better teams or lets see it in the playoffs. But, I try not to blow up on guys when we win. Too many people on this site have too many agendas. This leads me to believe a lot of people don't care about the team just individuals on the team. I thought we are all fans of the Hawks not the players. Yes we can have our favorites on the team, but do you really have to come down on them after a win just because you don't like them. It goes the other way as well just because we win also means we don't solely win because of that person as well.Let's just be happy about wins is all I'm saying. This team has been killed by injuries and are playing well. It's exciting to see and hopefully with the possibility of Al for the playoffs we can make some noise. Yes, I know that seems far fetched, but as fans all we have is hope. Do I think changes need to be made to the roster, of course they do. But, I'm going to enjoy this hawks team now. Enjoy them and curse at them each game they play. We win as a team and lose as a team. Enjoy. I'm happy with the exception of Jason Collins getting burn over Dampier without an explanation! If Damp is injured, it should be reported somewhere otherwise it makes no sense!

Ive been a Hawks fan for many years and I aint happy. I m not gonna sugarcoat things for the ASG. If this team would have added a couple of pieces, they would be a championship contender this year. This is the entire thing that pains me. The "core" is there but the team refuses to spend the $$$ to add the rounding pieces for a contending team. We can all enjoy the games they are playing against subpar teams at this point, but down deep we ALL know this team is not going to play for a championship.If some of you call that "tweener" fans, then I would say you are the "tweeners".

Okay?? Wrong usage of tweener but I hear ya! Last time I checked, Horford has been hurt and we're still winning. We've had the worst two months with injuries and yet we're still winning. We have one of the best benches in the NBA when healthy. Our players have grown a serious size of gonads when it comes to digging deep and winning games in the 4th quarter. I remember when we use to lay down and get beat by 20+ points. Obviously, you are the tweener my friend. Real Hawks fans have noticed the change in attitude of this team despite the lack of help from the A$G.

Vol,Think you are missing the point of the thread. As fans I think we all agree the roster is flawed and needs to be improved. What I'm pointing out is that "Why don't we enjoy the wins more" instead of tearing down the players that help accomplish the wins. We all know that ASG sucks and needs to go. We all know that we probably can't get past the 2nd round of the playoffs. Let's just enjoy the wins instead of b*tching about which player is better or which player sucks after a win. Everyone has flaws, but when we win how about congratulating the team instead of arguing about how we won. Because of this player we won or because of this player we lost seems to be petty and takes away from the win if you ask me.Root on the hawks, not individuals. I think its great to like certain players, but I believe in the end no matter what player you like you want the Hawks to win. And it seems on this site after a win its so draining with the comments from people who want to complain about the players weather they have a good game or bad game thus taking away from the win.Do I want new ownership? Hell yes. Yet that has nothing to do with this thread, it's called enjoy what we have while we have it. Instead of complaining especially after a win. There is nothing wrong with accepting the obvious. yeah we have won some games lately but against lottery teams and they were not convincing wins. How can a team that can barely beat lottery teams march into Miami or Chicago and win. I tend to look at who's on top.

The only reason I defend Joe like I do is because we have people that post here with clear cut agendas to try and convince the rest of us that certain players are some kind of walking piles of scum that don't deserve to live. I always support the team no matter which player is the best or what individual numbers are put up. If we win, I'm happy. If we lose, I'm not happy.
