Game's on SportSouth again, although be sure to watch Smoltzie's jersey retirement first! The Dream are sputtering a bit (2-4), having lost a fourth-quarter lead in New York on Tuesday, lapsing late defensively against Cappie Pondexter and Leilani Mitchell. They shot bad inside-the-arc (42%) and outside it (2-for-12), and that won't cut it no matter how bad the opponent is. Angel McCoughtry and Armintie Price know how to bang the boards when the shots aren't falling, and that bodes well for the team going forward. Sancho Lyttle needs to be in on this offensive rebounding action more.San Antonio (2-3) is motivated by their last loss, coming back late from 26 points down against undefeated Minnesota before falling short by 4. 2011 NCAA champion Danielle Adams had a breakout 32-point game last year in her rookie season against Atlanta, and will probably be the primary go-to option as the Dream try to throttle Becky Hammon (2nd in the league in assists per game) and Sophia Young. They don't foul much, last in the league in fouls per game, so their won't be many trips to the line for the Dream. With exception to Hammon, the SASS are poor free throw shooters (69%, last in the league), so they hope not to be fouled in-kind.Go Dream!~lw3

The Dream are like that box of chocolates... this time instead of a track race (Chicago), the ladies grinded the game out for four quarters. SASS had a lead in the fourth but couldn't hang on. The Silver Stars were hitting a couple threes early but then the lid was put on. Hammon was predictably shut down as the Dream would not let her get the ball off of screens. They missed 13 threes, and lost to the Dream by 3. As for Atlanta, Armintie was superb at the start, and as usual with the coaching staff's substitutions, they stopped looking for her.The highlight was watching the SASS head coach get ejected after going absolutely apes**t early in the second quarter over... well, I couldn't find anyone who knew what his issue was, I think a allegedly blown block/charge call against Adams. I mean it was arguable, but he went after the poor ref like she was made out of ham. Veins popping, cussing, nearly ripping his suit jacket trying to jump out of it.Go Dream!~lw3
