Brotha2ThaNite
I’ve been listening to 92.9 The Game, 790 The Zone and 680 The Fan… and by far 92.9 The Game talks more about our Hawks than any of those others. I can count on Jerome Jurenovich & Jamie Duke daily. Today 80% have been Hawks! Hawks! Hawks! @Brotha2ThaNite: Finally @ATLHawks fans, a station that talk #Hawks--> @929TheGame! These stations need to step up their game--> @790TheZone @680_The_Fan smhhttps://twitter.com/Brotha2ThaNite So, I just tweeted this. Please Retweet even if you disagree, it will make the other still talk even more if they see use fans jocking for more Hawks take! :-) Edited February 28, 2013 by Brotha2ThaNite

coachx
Agree 92.9 talks much more NBA then the other stations. You can tell their host are basketball fans too. Brandon Leak and Chuck Chernoff are the only guys on 680 they you can tell really follow the Hawks. 680 is good with football and so is 92.9. Jamie Dukes is very good and so is Randy Cross in the mornings for 92.9. Of course both are X-NFL guys. 680 is good with both football and MLB coverage. 92.9 needs to hire some MLB specialist but they are very good with NBA, NFL, and NCAA football talk. I can't pick up 790 b/c I live more then 15 miles outside of Atlanta's center. They are the Ga Tech flagship station so that automatically loses points for me : ) I really like Randy Cross and the NBA TV guy for 92.9's morning show. The one thing they bore with is they do too many "call ins" with listeners. 99% of the listeners are too uninformed and they make me turn the station. The one guy I can't stand on 92.9 is Kordell Stewart. I can't bare to listen to him on the drive home from work. The fact they pair him with the X-Ga Tech Womens basketball player gives them 2 weak host at the same time.......both have very strong opinions but neither come across as very knowledgeale. So on my drive home from work I normally listen to Matt & Chuck on 680. Matt's a die hard Hawks fan and is entertaining with Chuck being the football guru. Back to the lunch hour when Dukes and Jurenovich are on 92.9.......Kincaid just gets on my nerves with 680 but he has his pros. He is not afraid to state him opinion even if its unpopular. Its gets boring listening to all host agreen on the same topic, even on different stations. However, I do find myself favoring Dukes and Jurenovich lately......especially during basketball season. 00Blink
Yeah, one called today to say Josh and Al don't play well together. I think they are, by far, the best big tandem in the league.

Kimsey
Hawks deserve the local media attention considering they are the only active pro team. Podcasts from 92.9 fm would be appreciated.
Ruckus
Wow. Just the other day Smoove was getting tarred and feathered. Now he is part of the best tandem in the league? Funny how short sighted us fans can be. Josh has been playing well since the All-Stat break but I have a tough time overlooking the overall picture though. coachx
Agree! Matt is a die hard anything to do with Atlanta. lolChuck loves to talk too much NCAA football which I get bored of.The reason NCAA football is my favorite sport is b/c its the only sport where you have 30 + games in a day on a regular cable TV package..............the NFL gives you 3 or 4 each Sunday. Hard for that to bore me. Love the seemingly limitless supply of NCAA football on Fall Saturdays. Love the "conference pride" and rivalries that go back 110 years. Of course I grew up in Athens, Ga going to UGA games. Had Falcons season tix for 5 years but its just not the same.......not as many attractive females either. Gave them up for UGA season tix again and I'm very glad I did......nice not to have work the next day after tailgating. I love to get out there early and set up satellite TV. Watch ESPN Game Day with a cold one, catch an early game, look at great scenery and atmosphere. Its hard to beat it if you have expierenced it with folks who know how to do it right. Moderators lethalweapon3 Posted March 1, 2013 Moderators Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 680 is definitely trying with Chernoff and Hometeam, and they're the flagship radio station (Steve Holman = The Man), plus they have the Al Horford Show. I'll remember 790 exists once the college football season gets going. As for 92.9, of course the guy that was booted by the Hawks as their PR director is the station's executive producer (Arthur Triche, @exhoopsprguy)... which is almost the perfect template for unbiased Hawks talk. I figure they'll bring in more MLB guys (like Brian Jordan) and college sports guys when the NBA playing season dies down, but with two other stations saturated with those sports, it's not my problem. It is so weird not having to strain for thorough discussions of the Hawks and NBA news on the radio. Rick Kamla is literally putting me to bed with NBATV highlights and waking me up with the AM show (tremendously impressed with Randy Cross, and CJ is a total Hawks fan). Jerome Jurenovich gets to let loose in the afternoon and say what he can't during telecasts, with Jamie Dukes (excellent in that timeslot) keeping any of Jerome's homerism in check. And I forget which weekend night it is (EDIT: just checked, it's both Saturday and Sunday nights), but Sam Mitchell is an absolute delight to listen to. Not everyone is as big a fan of the Stews as I am, but they're contractually bound by a non-compete w/ 790 until July, so don't be surprised if they squeeze into the rotation in time for next season. ~lw3

Bahamut
Agree! Matt is a die hard anything to do with Atlanta. lolChuck loves to talk too much NCAA football which I get bored of. That's why I stopped listening to 680. I listen to 790 exclusively now, and I think 92.9 is crap, but if they talk Hawks, I may listen in once in a while. When they first launched, 92.9 sounded like a V-103 wannabe instead of a sports station, and I outgrew V-103 in high school.
