Not a fan of jewelry and couture, but I've been an old-school Nikehead, and they usually get it right when judging outstanding athletes who also have great personality and charisma, Tiger notwithstanding. I don't know if we've ever had a guy who appeared in a widely syndicated Nike ad or promotion.

I think they have genius scouts for all sports. The people they take risks on usually become stars, and the people they allow other brands to sign usually don't turn out to be "Nike Guys/ Girls" as in having marketable character as well as success. See Allen Iverson.
