I would love for the Hawks to draft RJ

 

I would love for Tech to draft Ron Hunter.

 

Seriously though, how does GASt compare to last year's squad?  I saw them play once and they struggled.  How have they done so far this year?

Harrow was terrible in Lexington.  I am glad to see him doing so much better for Georgia State.

 

In terms of pro comparables, I think you are waaaayyy overrating both of these guys.  I don't think either of these guys are expect to be drafted let alone be HOF / 6th Man of the Year level talents.

 

(Will leave this up for a little while before moving it to the proper forum).

AHF RJ went to the Lebron camp this summer and upped his draft stock. Bleacher report named him the #1 NBA prospect in mid major basketball. Draft express has him in the 20's.

 

You are right on RJ.  Sounds like he could even be a potential Hawks draft pick as a wing prospect who could go in the teens or twenties.

Some great basketball being played at the Sports Arena.

 

Ryan Harrow is a straight up baller and RJ Hunter is NBA material. Not to mention Kevin Ware (Louisville transfer).

 

All concessions are $1.00 and any seat in the house is close to the court and on the sideline. I encourage anyone near Atlanta to give it a try.

We're going to be better but they're still trying to figure out how to replace Manny Atkins. Kevin Ware is good defensively but is trying to find his sea legs offensively. RJ and Harrow are both going to avg 20ppg

Manny was an excellent floor spacer and shot over 40% from 3 while playing PF. We don't have a PF who can stretch the floor like Manny did but Crider and Shipes are bigger and better rebounders.

 

We are missing White's ability to hit the 3 too.............Ware is just as a goof of a player but a different player. He is a defensive specialist while White was a bonafide PG. The 6'3'' Ware is much longer and more athltic than was the 6' White..........but White could take the PG duties away from Harrow and allow him to do what he does best (score the rock).

 

The team is better defensively but spacing is an issue on offense. Harrow needs some shooters to open up the paint for his dribble drives.

If you want to see a good local team with 2 future NBA players, come downtown to watch GSU vs Wisconsin- Green Bay tonight at 7pm.

RJ Hunter is like a mixture of Steph Curry and Reggie Miller and Ryan Harrow reminds me of a young Jamal Crawford. Tickets are $10.

We should catch a game this year. I normally meet up with you a few alumni for a beer or 2 before the games.

Yeah I'm glsjunior on Panther talk. Some are going to Bada Bings

I'm bulldawgruss over there. (Joined the UGA 247 page before GSU started theirs).

 

I see where Dave (gsudpb) loves that place. Last year we would go to Sensational Subs or Sidebar. Some games there would be 12 of us pre-gaming.......other games 4 or 5.  

 

I want to try out Bada-Bings.

 

I'm having a daddy / daughter night tonight but plan on coming to some games once the conference schedule starts. The game tonight against Green Bay will be good. They are normally always in the NCAA Tourney.

I went to a few games last year and it was well worth the $$$. I forgot which game it was but GSU hit a shot at the buzzer to force OT and later won. That was as exciting as any basketball game I've seen in awhile.

 

And stop with trying to take Coach Hunter away. We need something to look forward to after football season (egads).

 

As for this year's team, I think they're trying to get their sea legs under them. Similar to last season when they struggled out of the gate then went on a long winning streak. If they could've rebounded a lick, they would've made the big dance and been a tough team to put out in the first round. I expect them to do the same thing this year but we'll see...
