Plainview1981
Seattle gets: Hawks first round pick Theo Ratliff Dan Dickau Alan Henderson Hawks get: Ray Allen Antonio Daniels If Okieze can really contribute then Hendu will not be needed next year and we can sign a PF to play backup mintues anyway. Hawks have: PG:Jason Terry/Antonio Daniels SG:Ray Allen/Dion Glover SF:Boris Diaw/jackson/Nailon PF:Shareef/Nailon/FA C:Nazr Mohammad/Ekezie Seattle has: PG:Brent Barry/Luke/Dickau SG:Flip Murray SF:Rashard Lewis PF:Radman/Collison/Hendu C:Theo/James/Popenko/Booth Plus the Hawks lotto pick The Sonics could make some deals to get some backup swingman like a Derek Anderson or someone. It leaves Seattle with a young and very talented team and gives the Hawks the combo of the inside/out player they really need. Not to mention Ray Allen is a good ball handler. He averaged 5.2APG when he was traded to Seattle last year.
Admin chillzatl Posted December 12, 2003 Admin Report Share Posted December 12, 2003 than just an offensively challenged center, a bunch of bench scrubs and a pick. Even though that pick is likely to be very high this year. Maybe throw in Dion or Jax.
TheDude
but we'd also have a hole at center...mohammed and henderson won't cut it i don't think, even in the east. but seriously what we and the rest of the east teams need to do is import some of the talent over to the east... i'm an eastern conference man but the conference is laughable at best... Playmaker0017
Chillz & Hotz, I would do that in a heartbeat. Our lineup would become QUITE fearsome! Imagine Reef and Allen... how could you double either? PG - Terry/Daniels SG - Allen/??? SF - Diaw/Nailon PF - Reef/Hendu C - Nazr/Hendu Play. Moderators macdaddy Posted December 12, 2003 Moderators Report Share Posted December 12, 2003 Having Allen would be great but finding even a decent center in the east is so hard that giving up Theo without getting a center in return would be tough. Playmaker0017
Macs, I would agree -- if Theo was a center. Theo is a PF in disguise. Play.
Moderators macdaddy Posted December 12, 2003 Moderators Report Share Posted December 12, 2003 But he's better than our alternatives. I love Nazr but when he was the starting center it was rough.
Plainview1981
And it's not rough now? The Hawks gave up about 98PPG with Nazr as a starter and give up about 96PPG with Theo. Not a huge different. You guys overrate Theo's impact. Teams get offensive rebounds(Because he can't rebound) and you are playing 4 on 5 with him on offense. This is a bad defensive team with or without Theo.
