Kevin Love?

Let me start by saying I am no Capologist and don't knew if we could even do this. But if DMC gets a big deal early and we renounce our hold, or similar thing for Sap, does anyone think a Love deal could be financially viable. Furthermore, would he be attracted to Atlanta? I think his game fits our system well and would bring a better rebounder at the 4.

Would we want Love if we could get him at all? Thoughts about the idea and especially potentially downsides or reasons it just couldn't happen would be great from the folks that really know the Cap.

On that is legit concern. I'll be honest I never watched Timberwolves basketball or much Cavs this year either. My main knowledge of Love is reading stat lines and high lights so I am wanting to hear problems with his game.

Does Love struggle on the block defensively more is it both sides of the ball?

Defense all around. Lacks a decent wingspan and he is just not a good defensive player but he does box out well and get boards. He would be best around someone like Rudy Gobert or Bogut.

I'm not a fan of Love or max players. Thompson is much cheaper while his skill set is much more useful in the playoffs to the Cavs. Al killed Love in the post last regular season game, that should clearly illustrate how awful he is defensively.

I'd rather add two specialists in a wing who can create and a True Big with some semblance of a post and anchor game. We've smashed into a brick wall having gone without either this long.

I was mistakenly thinking Love was better defensively and would have brought some additional rebounds while still stretching the d from the 4 spot.

I have seen enough lazy or incompetent post defenders with the Hawks.

I'm with you be Ben we need an anchor post with some offensive game and I think a bruiser of the bench Charles Oakley Reggie Evans type would be a huge help to reduce the offensive boards we surrender. Moose shows some of those traits so maybe he grows into the role and he has some offensive game too.
