Premium Member Diesel Posted July 2, 2015 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 2, 2015 There are a few bad assumptions going on here... To begin with... You're saying that LA is better than Sap? Statistically Sap is the second best PF in the league via WAR More importantly, I think Sap is more durable than LA. Finally... Has LA ever been out of the first round? Secondly, as a team, we have been farther than any of those other guys teams save Gasol. However, having Gasol would create a Horford problem. As much as people try to package him as, Horf is not an effective PF. He loses his Finesse Advantage. Third Bad Assumption... You need superstars. Wouldn't you call Melo a superstar? What about Wade? What about Love? Those superstars couldn't reach the playoffs. Before they got a "System" the Warriors were a first round exit. Fourth Bad Assumption... We don't have superstars. Horf = 3 time allstar. Sap = 2 time allstar. Korver, Teague = Allstar. We have guys who others in the league want. Orlando offered Sap the MAX. Watch Teague and Horf next year get the Max. As we show a consistence in Winning, the media will make our guys out to be superstars too.
Premium Member Popular Post mrhonline Posted July 2, 2015 Premium Member Popular Post Report Share Posted July 2, 2015 I'm closing this thread for the sake of HS. We as posters cannot keep making threads that show no understanding of basic CBA concepts like Bird Rights. It's hurting the quality of the board. http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm
