Just Have to Say It - Roughing Passer Penalty Is Stupid

No issue with banning head to head contact but the idea that you can't tackle someone where your weight lands on them is outright stupid.  That Clay Matthews hit on Alex Smith is a textbook good tackle.  NFL office said it was a textbook example of "roughing the passer."  If you can't tackle the guy normally (no violent hit, just a normal wrap the guy up and drive through him) then they need to fundamentally change the rule so the QB is automatically down without the need for contact -- just make it two hand touch or something because this is just ridiculously weak.
