Bucks countered them well. I still think fatigued played a bigger role in this than people think Fatigue definitely played a role but much of it by design. Between the press, having to defend in transition, and then staring at a huge deficit; the guys looked like they were both unwilling and unable to muster up that extra effort to overcome and the Bucks certainly weren't letting their foot off our throats besides a few Giannis 3s. Even Nate looked like he figured as much and conceded the chess match early to Bud, no use burning out the guys trying to figure something that works out. Just tip your hat, pull the troops, and hit the film room.

If the game stayed close I doubt Cam plays. 3

JTB
Great comments on this one ….didn’t read anything I can disagree with. I am sure Nate will make adjustments but whatever adjustments made they must be executed! If we can make sure we win at home all is well of course. We stole homecourt game 1 so let’s keep it in the A and end it here. check out this breakdown from Steve Jones….I don’t follow this guy or know who he is but he had some videos to go along with what the bucks were doing defensively to slow down Trae and our hawks …much of what has already been mentioned in this thread but it’s a good set of videos and explanations from him… Don’t just watch that video click on it to see all he posted. I think our outside shooting woes going back to the Phily series are fatigue related. Gotta remember that this is most of our guys first playoff run. This is a lot of extra games they aren't used to playing yet. And even though the season was 10 games shorter, at this point our guys have played more than the 82 game season they are used too. On top of the previous season being cut short, so their bodies didn't even get the stamina built up from a normal 82 game season last year.

Trae has to be on Tucker so that leaves Cam/Bogi/Heurter on Jrue. They will find mismatches no matter what but that's how I'd run that lineup

Popular Post TheNorthCydeRises
Let's see how they did. 1) Start Danillo Gallinari and stay big as much as possible That didn't happen, but Gallo was huge in this game. But I'll see how much the big lineup played. I don't remember seeing Capela - Collins - Gallo in the game together at all. We got destroyed with offensive rebounding because we just didn't have enough size in the game. The 3 guard offense isn't going to fly against them. 2) The 3 point taker, or the furthest guy from the basket, MUST get back on defense. Mixed reviews on this. They definitely leaked out a few times and got easy baskets, but it was nothing like we saw in Game 2. The Hawks making their 3s tonight, helped in that department as well. 3) Attack Giannis when he has the ball with double teams I think we had our moments defensively with the defense on Giannis. Okongwu was outstanding tonight against him. Capela had his moments as well. Collins and Gallo got ate up. But a lot of Giannis' points came off of him diving into the lane either as the screener on the pick and roll, or just going toward the rim in general, and receiving the pass at point blank range. 4) Make Brook Lopez and PJ Tucker beat you from outside. Only 3 three point attempts between them. Tucker was basically a defender/rebounder as usual. Brook only attempted 1 three, but got a 3 or 4 easy baskets around the rim. I would like to see that ball out of Giannis and Middleton's hands a lot more, and force PJ Tucker to make a bunch of 3s. Middleton proved tonight that he's a lethal scorer that can't be ignored. 5) Shoot the ball, Trae YES!! YES!! YES!! 12 - 23 FG . . 6 - 14 3FG . . 35 points He came out very aggressive, but controlled with his shooting. He was brilliant from deep, and was able to also get to his floater at times. It's a shame that he got hurt. He was well on his way to 45 - 50 points, and may have been the difference in us winning the game. Final Verdict Overall, we made very little adjustments. We simply shot the ball better. I didn't see much of anything that we done defensively, other than trying to go zone in the 4th quarter, which was ineffective against Middleton. If our leader is down for Game 4, Nate will have no choice but to try something different, with different personnel. It was disappointing to not see Cam at all in this game. If the kid can give us 15 - 20 minutes in a game, we must see what that looks like among our main rotation. Adjustment grade: D+ 3
