Today's Game Determine's Which Way We Move

Whether we're looking at below or above .500 or who stays and who goes, today will be a big determinating factor.

Being only 5 wins away from catching Milwaukee, Cleveland and even Brooklyn who we are facing tonight. 8 wins away from tying league leading Boston.

Honestly when we look at it that way it's laughable that people are bringing/having so much drama when it relates to our team.

This year is probably the most balanced the league has ever been since having 30 team seasons. The drama comes though because even though the league might be tough, we aren't playing up to par. 

Yes that means we're 17 - 17 but could be up a lot more if we played to our full capabilities. That's not laughable and it seems to point to our young superstar who has been playing more like an all-star at best this yr.

We once again may not be playing with atleast 3 starters tonight. Which makes this game a lot harder but also makes this a good assessment game.

We are going to see if we hold back or show off because even though it hasn't been many games without Trae Young, we're undefeated this season without him.

Without 2 of our best defenders we also get to evaluate our possible future in having an OO/JC frontcourt or moving on from that convo. It will show if Dejounte Murray is or would be a better floor general for us than Trae. 

A lot of things will be something to watch closely. There's a lot of pressure on this game in many ways then one. Pressure is good for those that are mentally and physically prepared for pressure. 

Pressure creates contenders and potential champions. We will soon see if this team or what players can handle this pressure which may decide what our team looks like in the near future.

I don’t even know what to expect. Some nights we play well others we lay an egg. So unpredictable these days.

With possibly 3 guys out . . this thread is moot.

Every game is not life and death folks.  The Hawks just need to tread water until they figure this out, the coach is replaced, or someone else from a player perspective is brought in.

Well if Dejounte knew how to throw allies to our bigs or was willing to this could've been a win.

We looked good without Trae at times and I could see a Hunter and Clint added to that would be deadly defensively. 

Until Dejounte learns to truly utilize our bigs like Trae can and also more consistent on his shots our team would honestly be better as a unit if we play as a unit.
