"Former Georgia Tech Standout and NBA All-Star Mark Price to Serve as Hawks Analyst

Price to Work with Bob Neal on Atlanta Hawks Games on Turner South

ATLANTA, GA (Oct. 21, 2004)-- Turner Sports announced today an agreement with former Georgia Tech star guard Mark Price to serve as an analyst for Turner Sports' production of Atlanta Hawks games, to be televised on Turner South for the upcoming 2004-05 NBA season. Price will team with veteran play-by-play broadcaster Bob Neal for approximately 15 games. Former Atlanta Hawk Grant Long has also signed on with Turner as a game analyst this season and will team with Neal for approximately 30 Hawks contests.

Price, who retired in 1998, earned NBA All-Star honors four times during his impressive 12-year NBA career. A deadly outside shooter, Price made more than 40 percent of his outside shots and scored more than 10,000 points in his career, winning the NBA long-distance shootout twice (1993 and 1994) during NBA All-Star weekend festivities. Price's .904 free-throw-shooting percentage stands as the NBA's best of all-time.

Turner South, Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.'s 24-hour regional entertainment network, presents a mix of original programming, movies, regional news and sports to cable and DBS affiliates in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and regions of North Carolina. The multiple Emmy-winning network also offers games from the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Hawks and is the official home of the NHL's Atlanta Thrashers.
