If the Bucks take Marvin......

Ok draft night has finally arrived. Your sitting on your couch with food & beer anxiously awaiting to learn the future of the Hawks and Milwaukee hands in their pick and Marvin William's name is called. Are you gonna leap into the air knowing that Bogut is coming to the Hawks OR are you gonna be upset knowing that we're not gonna be selecting Deron or Paul? Reason I ask this is b/c I want Deron or Paul badly and if we end up w/ Bogut I'll be somewhat happy but the excitement wont be there like it would of been with one of the players I wanted.

Hard to say. I feel like if we get Marvin, we're in a GREAT position to then trade him to whomever (ala Bobcats at 5). I want Bogut more than Williams (who has not impressed me), but Williams provides much greater flexibility for a draft night trade...

If I'm BK, I take Paul or Deron at #2, and then try to get a pick in the 20somethings and take Andrew Bynum. (assuming he doesnt' pull out next week.)

I'd love it if we got Bogut. We could still end up getting a solid point guard in Jack or Ukic later on in the first. If we wanted to give away a bunch, we might could get NO to trade their #4 to us. (see my sig)

Yeah getting Bogut is the only scenario in which I'll be 100% satisfied. With Marvin or a PG, I'll know we just added a great player, but I'll wonder if we picked the right one.

The good and bad news is that it will take 3-5 years to figure out who the right player is. Unfortunately, there are no guarantees.

O sweet mother of mercy, the Bucks do the unthinkable and pass on Bogut.... I may faint. Seriously, I would be happiest if we drafted Bogut if he is sitting at 2.
