whats the deal with Nelson and World Championship?

Whats going on? To my knowledge...

1)Don Nelson doesnt want his allstars playing in the World Championship game because of the potential INJURIES the players may receive

2)The players have the right to ignore Nelson and play in the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES according to their NBA contract

3)Don Nelson wants some type of insurance in case they get hurt? (this is the one i dont understand the most)

I can understand about Nelson's complaints... he doesnt want his allstars (Finley, Nash, Nowitski) hurt in anyway especially since the Season is around the corner....

but is there anything else im missing? And can u guys add to the #3? whats that about?

and rightfully so. The league is only carrying the lowest liability insurance that they can on the players over there and Cuban isnt very happy about that because if they get hurt then he is going to lose millions of dollars. Germany is probably going to pick up the tab on Dirk and Shawn Bradley which will help though.
