I don't think the Hawks have done much to inspire confidence in anyone outside their most faithful fans and the Magic seem to be a team perfectly built for the playoffs and peaking at the right time. We all know they can beat the Magic, and I believe they can beat them in a 7 game series, but they need to bring their A game or damn close to it for 48 minutes with no lapses. Can they do that? I hope so, but I'd be lying if I said I believe 100% it will happen.
I do believe the game 5 collapse was the best thing for this team mentally. They were justifiably universally skewered, and that back against the wall mentality gave them an edge in games 6 and 7 we haven't seen all season. I don't see them getting steamrolled in this series. Last year they just didn't have the horses to compete with Cleveland. This year they're healthy and now have a chip on their shoulders. Should be interesting.
