  1. They WOULD be on national TV. Arent all the playoffs games shown on at least one channel on national tv?
  2. I never said it's not a step in the right direction. With our sorry past, hell, anything is a step in the right direction. I'm just saying not enough people seek realism as fans...they just discount the real issues just because we get a little taste of "success."
  3. Quote: No way there is any validity to that. If we make post-season for the first time this decade, Woodson is staying. And what a damn shame that would be. *Sigh* When will we ever get REAL basketball-minded, hell anyone with an IQ over 60, to run the Hawks and make the right decisions regarding our personell?
  4. I agree with you about quite a few things, but salivating over a 9 game under .500 performance just because it is the "best basketball we have played in 10 years" is pretty damn pathetic. Our bright future will begin when we get these stooges out of here...
  5. Eh, we cant get him even if we wanted to. But anyway, I have heard and read that the general consensus is that Thabeet will be a much better player in the NBA. Hibbert just seems to unathletic and slow for most to think he will transfer well to the NBA.
  6. I guess this means means Team Dime will be in full effect tonight...maybe he will have some dimes with his dimes...
  7. Oh come now Dolfan. We have discussed Woody several long times in the chatroom and you know I am one of the more sensible Woodson call-him-as-I-see-him guys. Anyway, Dad said we had a 20 point lead earlier in this game. How the hell are we letting these sorry Bulls do us in like this?
  8. Gah, I cant watch it becuz Channelsurfing, for the last 4 or so Hawks game, is only displaying AUDIO only...Damn. And is it me, or has Bibby been stuck on 28 points for a VERY long time. It says he is stuck at 13 FG attempts for a long while now... Just what the hell is out offense doing out there anyway?
  9. This is the SAME Woodson that some of you want us to retain even if we make the playoffs. Things that make you say hmm...
  10. I dont understand why so many people are ripping this article. I swear, too many ATL fans wear rose-colored glasses and dont see the Hawks for who they really are. Bradley was on point with damn near everything he said. Just because it was a "negative" article, people want to say "Man, people always gotta complain" or "Damn, they can't say anything positive about the Hawks." It's sad really. He singled out Bibby because we made a major mid-season trade to get someone who would inevitably change the culture, style, and talent of our team. Bradley is right, we are BETTER with him (undeniable), but we still aren't good. It's not on Bibby either...we are just inconsistent as hell and won't make it anywhere deep with Woodson [and BK] here. Trading for Bibby was a great idea. We traded nothing to get something good. However, we destroyed our bench depth in the process. Should that be a reason to badmouth the trade? Of course not. Our FO has done NOTHING to bring in extra depth (hell, bring someone up from the damn D League or something..Dale Davis?). THAT is where the problem lies. Woodson has failed to develop his bench players (aside from Chill who is more of a freelancer who does his own thing anyway). Combine this with the fact that JJ (and now Bibby and Smoove) play ridiculous amounts of minutes night in and night out spells trouble. If, if we make the playoffs, that is when he will REALLY feel the pangs of not developing that bench because they will be needed more than ever. JJ and the others aren't men with S's on their collective chests...they will be burned out. The Hawks have a long way to go before they can be a CONSISTENTLY good team. I'd love for them to make the playoffs, but with our team play, the Celtics or Pistons will hand us our asses. It's not pessimism, it's realism. Please learn the difference.
  11. Eh, the ATL females are way too immature...or at least the college ones anyway. I'd have to date a girl at least two or three years older than me just to match up maturity-wise. I guess the best thing about the Miami Heat are their dancers.
  12. Miami got some women man. I'm flying down there soon for a job interview...I will get to see some of the women in person. And damn, didnt know the Miami dancers are two-time defending champs. Not surprising though. Just that woman they have pictured on the ESPN head-to-head is sexy as hell.
  13. Quote: I don't know how good Bogut normally looks, but he looked really good against the Hawks last night. I think we could use him - 14 ppg, .570 fgp, 9.5 rpg, 1.75 bpg. He'd give us a bigger body at center, more post scoring, some post passing, some rebounding, and he even blocks some shots and draws some charges. I'd trade Marvin for him but I doubt they'd take it - I'd also think about trading Josh Smith for Bogut if they'd also throw in a first round pick, just based on my old reasoning that Horford and Smoove are really both better suited to play PF. Bogut, after being largely disappointing prior to this season, has really come on strong this year. He looks like a totally different player nowadays. And yes, he has owned us every game we have played them this season. I would love to see a Bogut/Horfy backcourt...but at what cost?
  14. Quote: Quote: I do believe one of them has some artificially-enhanced boobage going on, but it's more of guess than a claim. Ya Think ? Was it the way they are almost coming out of her neck that gave them away? Gravity's got nothing on those puppies LOL, yeah
  15. I know right? Hmm, those three look decent. I do believe one of them has some artificially-enhanced boobage going on, but it's more of guess than a claim. Yes, there are some really beautiful women in the ATL...I wonder why more of them don't show up for auditions like these?
  16. Yeah DJ. We havent been rebounding worth a damn recently (especially past two games). And we are getting owned on the offensive boards. These things gotta change...
  17. Would have been interesting to see how they guarded him. But yeah, we made Gooden look all-world yesterday night. Bogut went off on us tonight, too. He did earlier in the season as well. On a somewhat related, yet sidenote, Philly absolutely crushed the Bulls tonight. Murderized them by 22. Damn...no one should want to play those cats in the playoffs.
  18. Gah! What happened to Bibby? I havent been able to watch any of the game, so I dont know what is going on. Meanwhile, it appears as though Horfy is having two overall bad games in a row. Look like after Joe was shut down offensively yesterday, the Joe of old is back today. Looks like Zaza is playing really well tonight stat-wise. Does that parlay into good play on the court tonight? Oh, and Chill is being the usual Chill. Gotta love that.
  19. We got to make it into the playoffs first, Diesel... I'd rather match up with Detroit than the Celtics. But eh, it is what it is. We will just have to wait and see.
  20. Wait, what the hell? Joe didnt sit even ONE friggin minute? Good Lord...
  21. We take off too many 3rd quarters. Sigh...
  22. The Sixers are the real deal. They may still be overachieving just a bit, but their young guys are playing extremely well, Cheeks has them coaches up night in and night out, and these guys can beat any team in the East right now. The way they have been playing as of late, as a TEAM, is nothing short of awe-inspiring.
  23. Quote: not all white guys are like zaza. Haha, that was awesome. You right, because you can't get much worse than the softy Zaza. At any rate, I love what Kaman could do for us offensively, but he doesnt help our lack of interior defense AT ALL. We are not the Lakers who could get by on playing a defensively-challenge big man in the middle (like they were doing Gasol until he got hurt).
  24. Although I share some of the same sentiments you do, there is no any team, much less the Hawks, touch Billy Donovan after he bailed out on the Magic like he did before the season...at least for a few years anyway. Plus, he is a college coach. If we rightly fire Woodson, his replacement needs to be an NBA coach with at least some prior experience. No more of this assistant-turned-head coach stuff. We need an experienced coach to help get over the hump (along with new GM, new owners, adepth at Center, more productive bench, etc. etc.)
  25. No way. It's not so much the talent that has been the major problem (although it has been a big contributing factor), it's the fact that Woodson has done nothing to coach up the talent that he has had on the team. He still makes bad substitutions, and has not adequately developed some guys. Hell, he had Zaza starting over Horford at the beginning of the season. In large part, it took Zaza getting hurt to force Woodson to start Horford... Now, when push comes to shove, Woodson tried to rely on Solomon Jones and Salim for good minutes. The problem is, by and large, they didn't do well because ever since they got here Woodson has done little to develop their games. It's no wonder they are largely inconsistent. He doesnt play either of them now, Jeremy Richardson doesnt get any PT, and Mario West (although I dont understand the love affair with him) gets his complimentary 28 seconds of PT every night. Go figure. He still leaves players on the bench too long, wont let players play with fouls (especially if they have two in the first half), hasn't established an identifiable style of play or system, hasn't done anything to corral Smoove and his insistence on taking long jumpers, yanks Acie out as soon as he makes a mistake, would play Lue wayy too much and then started that with Pachulia again, etc etc. Whether we make the playoffs or not, both BK and Woodson have to go. We need a real coach in here who will correct the many egregious problems I described above.
