  1. Trae/FA/? Huerter/Crabbe/Anderson Reddish/Bembry/Sekou Collins/Sekou/Spellman Len/Fernando/Bol/Spellman
  2. I also think Reddish and Doumbouya would be dream draft at 8 and 10. I would like Hawks to make a run at 21 pick with all the seconds and select Bol and Fernando or Kabengele with 17 and 21. Doing this you select 2 players with the highest cealing on the draft and also fill the positions of need. Bol and Sekou are wild cards but have very high cealing, Fenando and Kabengele are good prospects that fit Collins and have tools to develop on very good players. Reddish also fit incredibly well and could also develop on an all-star. Definately this would be dream scenario for me
  3. I have the feeling there are going to be great players available at 2nd round ,we need depth at Forward position, Center and PG and we need defensive specialists and we can find them on the 2nd round Players that are appearing ar 2nd round in some mock drafts: Gafford, Okeke, Grant Williams, Samanic, Ty Jerome, Darius Bazley, Talent Horton, Bruno Fernando, Louis King, Roby, Cameron Johnson, Thybulle,, all of them can be serviceable backups and I think we could have a shot at 2 of them if we pair pur 2 fourties to move up. Gafford, Bazley, Samanic, Okeke and of course Fernando might be fantastic and cannot miss value at 2nd round.
  4. Last 2nd rounder I would select Chuma Okeke, quality role player available on 2nd round, this draft is so deep
  5. I am ok with that, I posted the same. I would move 2 2nd rounders to move up and take Ty Jerome as backup PG
  6. Ummm looking at this mock draft is possible Hawks want 4 first rounders because they are planning to use one on Bol and the other on a safest bigman bet like Feenando or Kabs, makes sense Reddish, Sekou or Ckarke, Bol, Fernando
  7. I think right now would be #8: Reddish or Hunter, whoever is available #10: Sekou or Ckarke #17: Kabengele or Fernando Pair 2 seconds to move up and take Ty Jerome Trae/Ty Jerome Huerter/Crabbe/Baze Reddish/Bembry/Anderson Collins/Sekou/Spellman Len/Fernando/Spellman
  8. I think Crabbe can be sixth man of the year for us, that is my bet, scorer of the bench, a good shooter can benefit a lot of Trae's passing. I think he is a great fit for us

    What if....

Looking that my initial prediction could be happening. I think we have a good and young core and a deep team and 40 wins is not unrealistic, of course we could end at 24 but if things click well we might make some noise and preseason is trending to the right direction. I think Trae, Prince and Collins might perform overall to this thread`s expectation. Len has been a great surprise, given minutes he could perform even greater than expected, he already did in Phoenix. Dedmon, Lin and Baze will perform as expected, be careful with Lin he is a good player. Poythress, Bembry and Dorsey might emerge as contributors as well and still I expect things from Anderson, Spellman and Huerter. Eager to see this team play.
  10. I already said that we could be better than expected. True PG, 2 young and upcoming players and a bunch of quality players, up to 12. Today we were missing Dedmon, Anderson and Spellman that can provide quality minutes. Anderson, Len, Lin, healthy Bembry, Spellman, even Poythress, those are huge upgrade over our former bench and we are going to see it. Glad Hawks open some eyes.
  11. Per Rotoworld The Atlanta Hawks G-League affiliate has reportedly traded for the rights to R.J. Hunter. The Rockets waived Hunter last month, but still owned his rights. Per the report, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (Houston's G-League squad) will receive Jonathan Gibson and a fourth-round draft pick in the trade. Atlanta is expected to offer Hunter an exhibit 10 deal.

    I predict.....

Of course not but you give minutes to young players that can develop into a good NBA starters and that is Young, Huerter and Len. Baze is already at his ceiling

    I predict.....

I agree, we have to bet on potential and young players, is a must for us. Huerter and Len have enough tools to be starters if they can develop, we have to give chance to players that can make a difference and they can. Len has already better averages on a per 36 basis than Dedmon. Huerter has elite shooting, good size, decent passing, Baze is a good guy but he is not going to get us a playoff spot.
  14. Umm depth chary is a little different Young/Lin/Hamilton Baze/Huerter/Dorsey/Carter Prince/Anderson/Bembry Collins/Omari/Robinson/Poythress/ Dedmon/Len/Plumlee 2 players for position + 2 in Bembry and Dorsey that will be in the rotation. 12 player depth, best in recent years
  15. Young, talented, good defender, size .. ideal for our 3rd PG, should we give him a chance? Much better than Daniel Hamilton, out performed our Guards at Summer league

    What if....

What I really think is this team is vey difficult to project, brand new team We have flaws, young players, inexperienced coach, team not proven, lack a star, lack a go to player, lack defense.... But we have some strenghts too, true PG, good shooting, up and coming player on John Collins, size inside and on the wings, depth, 2 good players for every position, a wild card at PG... I think Young and Collins can meet above expectations, Prince can stay on last years performance, Baze and Dedmon will do the same, Anderson, Lin and Len are great additions and I have some faith on the rookies and Bembry. All the guys are focusing on flaws and forgetting the strenghts, the truth is novbody can project what this team is going to do and although 25 wins might be a realistic scenario I don’t think fighting for a playoff spot on the east can be discarded. Last year playoff was 43 wins.

    What if....

Trae meets some expectations and average 16ppg, 7 apg with decent percentages Prince performs as in the 2nd half of the season, 19ppg, 5 rog John Collins steps up and average 16 ppg, 10 rpg and shows his game, I think this is happening anyway. Dedmon and Baze performs as last year Len improves slightly his numbers this season as he has done all seasons. Lin play 65 games and performs near his best days, 14ppg, 5 apg. Anderson is a valuable player Huerter and Spellman are players that contribute this year and complement this 8. If that happens and I do not think is unrealistic, where would be all the negativism on this forum? Hawks could win 40 games, I don’t think is happenning and probably chances are low but definately cannot be discarded, is not unrealistic. Am I the only one that is eager to see this team play?
  18. I like Dedmon but I think Len is a better player. With a true PG his PNR game will show up more, I think we got a steal. His stats are already better than Dedmon on 36 min sample. Only question mark is his durability. I think we could have got a steal as Demarre Carroll.

    Deep C

Guys, do you realize Len per 36 avg are 15 ppg, 13,5 rpg, 1,6 bpg? Much better stats than Dedmon
  20. gurpilo

    Deep C

There are going to be posts in 2 months saying I cannot believe Phoenix let Len go. Mark my words.
  21. Calderon, Rubio, Ibaka, Mirotic, Hernan Gomez brothers, Navarro....all play for Spanish team and are on the NBA, the list is long... players with limited success at Spanish league and Euroleague have had succesful careers at NBA and none of them, Gasol brothers included showed the level of dominance of Doncic
  22. If we are going to be so bad next year we will be Trae Young Barrett/Huerter Prince Collins/Spellman Gafford/Len Sounds good to me on paper, I think in 2 years Collins can be a 18 ppg, 12 rpg, 1bpg, 1spg Prince can be a 18 ppg, 5 rpg, 3apg, 2spg Young can be a 15 ppg, 9apg, 1spg Huerter, Len and Spellman can be role players. If we are so bad that we manage to land a top pick 1st or 2nd and land Barrett or Reddish and Gafford or Bol... and suddenly you have 5 quality players and 3 good role players any FA would consider Atlanta as Jimmy Butler considered Minnesota with much less talent
  23. We were going nowhere, we had to restructure. Now is going to be much easier to get FA here if we have a team full of talent, Collins, Prince, Len, hopefully Young and Huerter and also Spellman are steps on the right direction, if we manage to add another 2 good pieces next year, suddenly you have a strong core of 8 players, add a good FA and suddenly you are considered as an attractive destination.
  24. I agree with the article, we should not have trade Doncic. Better draft would have been Doncic, Holiday, Spellman or Diop and Mitchell Robinson, hands down, Doncic will be a superstar, I have no doubt about it, I knew Robinson would slip and could be a good prospect, we did not have any prospect at C. Trades are also bad, Howard, Schröder... I dont agree they did not have any trade value, what we got in return is really bad. Look at the Nets, that was a good trade, Faried could be valuable for us. Anyway I am still optimistic, I believe on Collins and Prince, I believe in Spellman as a contributor, I like Len addition but I still have high doubts about Young and Huerter.
  25. I can see Hawks trading with NO, I would like NO to add Diallo and a first on the trade and we can take Hill contract. NO needs help on the wing and we need to add some talent, the trade makes sense for both teams
